A group of Republican senators and senators-elect led by Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas pledged on Saturday to object to the congressional certification of President-elect Joseph R. Biden’s Electoral College votes next week unless Congress approves an emergency 10-day audit of the results by an election commission.
“Voter fraud has posed a persistent challenge in our elections, although its breadth and scope are disputed. By any measure, the allegations of fraud and irregularities in the 2020 election exceed any in our lifetimes,” the lawmakers said in a statement.
They said Congress “should immediately appoint an Electoral Commission, with full investigatory and fact-finding authority, to conduct an emergency 10-day audit of the election returns in the disputed states.”
Their announcement brings to a dozen the number of GOP senators and senators-elect to defy Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, who has urged his colleagues not to contest Mr. Biden’s winning vote total.
Mr. Cruz is being joined in the effort by Republican Sens. Ron Johnson of Wisconsin, James Lankford of Oklahoma, Steve Daines of Montana, John Kennedy of Louisiana, Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee, and Mike Braun of Indiana. Also taking part are Sens.-elect Cynthia Lummis of Wyoming, Roger Marshall of Kansas, Bill Hagerty of Tennessee and Tommy Tuberville of Alabama.
Earlier, Sen. Josh Hawley of Missouri became the first GOP senator to announce he would object to Mr. Biden’s votes from several contested battleground states where President Trump is alleging widespread election fraud.
The new group of GOP senators said the election “featured unprecedented allegations of voter fraud and illegal conduct.”
They said Democrats objected to the presidential election results in 1969, 2001, 2005 and 2017.

For crimes sake, just go Straight to #1! Void the corrupt elections, bring in the military, re-vote, take thumbprints of all voters with indelible purple ink. If we can do that in Iraq, then do it here.
My faith in a Congressional Election Commission is the same as my faith in Congress.
Trump was re-elected. The Democrat Party, Democrat Media and Deep State do not want him in the Oval Office for 4 more years. The Republican Party establishment is not backing Trump voters. If the steal is permitted, voters will abandon the Republican Party.
Who do these Senators Represent? They are not supporting their voters.
Yeah, but who is going to be on the “vote fraud investigation commission? If they are DC insiders, I already know how that will turn out. Who can be trusted anymore as long as the deep state shadow government is still in charge? I trust President Trump but he can’t do it all.
Why did they stipulate that Congress has to approve an audit? Shouldn’t they unconditionally object based on all the available public evidence? A Congressional audit should automatically be required to investigate who is responsible for all the criminal activity.

If Biden actually won fair and square, he should be the one calling for audits. He will be the one that lives with citizens, who are doubtful he is legit.

My opinion the Georgia Senators lose, same rigged system. No pushback on their end for two reasons. Neither need the job or the money, already have deals in place in return for not objecting. It’s all a joke and people fall for it.

One of the refreshing things about Trump has been not a single bipartisan blue ribbon panel chaired by the inevitable Lee Hamilton as an excuse to delay action until the follow up commission the report from the present commission recommending actions that the follow-up commission will monitor the implementation of - all in about 10 years time after no one cares anymore.
There's no method to "void" the elections except at the state level. Or bring in the military. Or re-vote.
