Then these objections will, at best, result in a tie between the Republican-controlled Senate and the Democrat-controlled HOR. In the case of such a tie, the winner of the contest goes to not the incumbent, but rather to the challenger.
What good may come of this Electoral Commission will only matter if their investigation produces sufficient doubts so as to compel the state legislatures to issue new electors. If such result were realized, then it would be the “Hail Mary pass” of the century.
