The senator of any state that voted overwhelmingly and legally for Trump should support the people of that state in order to not disenfranchise its voters.

Far as I know, this objection in no way can push the Constitutionally mandated date of Jan 6 back 10 (or any other # of) days.

Love that Cruz and others are finally putting a stake in the ground to at least get some awareness of just how corrupt and fraudulent this election was. But it will change nothing in terms of the “votes” being counted on 1/6, and what the outcome (Biden “won”) will be - UNLESS at least 3 state legislatures decertify their original vote before 1/6, which is highly unlikely to happen.

Dude, there’s over a 100 in the house who plan on rejecting.

I believe their point in saying this is that > 50% (so, > 435 / 2 members) of the House need to support over-turn of any State's EC vote. And since the Dems control the House, that ain't happening - regardless of whether we get 100, 140 or some other number of (R) Reps to object.

Electoral Count Act (1887). Since the HOR is held by a Democrats majority, any objections to Biden will be defeated there. Under the 12th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, in a contested election, the HOR selects the President, and the Senate selects the Vice President (as the VP is president of the senate). Therefore, it stands to reason that, under these rules, Biden would be given the presidency.

False. If the House chooses, Trump wins because the House vote is not one vote per member; but one vote per delegation. There are more R delegations than D. You’re welcome

I do believe the only date mandated in Constitution is Jan 20

Primaries aren’t any less likely to be corrupt than the general elections are, unless you know something the rest of us don’t.

Does the National Guard cover only primaries?

That is assuming the R delegations would vote party lines. In my opinion, highly dubious at this point.

Understood. At least we would have Pence as VP instead of Harris! Biden shouldn't last long before being declared as incompetent.

I tell you, some of y’all just refuse to be positive. Most importantly, though: Never forget the unseen Hand. God Almighty, Who Made us a nation in the first place, is at WORK in all of this! Keep faith because of Him, not men. He’ll get us the Victory

Incorrect - the delegation count of “one vote per state” only come into play if there is a competing set of electors, when the count is made before the unified body of the HOR and Senate. That is not presently the situation.

The objection process involves the unified body of senators and congressional representatives to each return to their respective chambers to hold a 2-hour debate and vote on each cited objection. Please refer to Amendment 12 of the U.S. Constitution.

Except the HOR votes for Prez by state delegation not be individual representative. The GOP controls more delegations. If it comes to that and the GOP shows the party discipline that Rats instinctively have then Trump wins.

Of course some things have to happen before it gets to that stage. Miraculous things !

If my wife and I are going to be drummed out of work and have Antifa protest at our homes, I want to encourage they hit the RINOs who helped put Biden in power, don’t you?

this statement HAS seen the light of day. Mitch tried to prevent this form happening or seeing the light of day in the public, especially by the deplorables like us.. tough crap Mitch.
the poo poo party will say this is not evidence, this is conspiracy by a bunch of kooks.

They will say nothing is there... and that is all they can do.. deny deny and deny.

They do NOT have the majority of state caucuses in the house, nor the majority of Senators... technically, in the Senate.

pooping on your executioners, maybe seems defiant to the last... and antifademocommies, may should take little comfort in that... until they riot against the results they will say were overturned.... and when they go to burn, steal, kill and destroy... trump will be still be president... and they will be either under arrest, killed in rioting or tried for treason...

there needs to be a severe and horrific penalty for those who committed treason in federal offices and titles.

severe. horrific.

" When they do, both the House and Senate will convene separately, debate "up to" 2 hours (House will be ~30 seconds, most likely),"

Nope. 2 hours of debate is 2 hours of debate. If Nancy tries to gavel it down on the House side, she will be constitutionally out-of-order, and the 100+ GOP House members will call for a rule-of-order, from which Pelosi must recognize the Minority, as this 2-hour "debate" is straight out of the Constitution. Note that under the Rules of the House, the Minority Leader (McCarthy) may speak for as long as he wants without yielding, and he may also delegate his time. Glorious.

I am surprised how so many on here take any kind of good news and turn it into bad. Its like reading democrat comments. No matter what happens, its not good enough

I’m surprised anybody here takes a stern letter and gum flapping as good news after 4 years of a GOP supported coup against President Trump. The letter is SOP beltway theater. Don’t be duped.

Maybe it’s the Election Code. Either that or the Constitution does call 1/6 out specifically, though, as the date the votes must be counted.

Awesome to hear there was a GOP Senate hearing on the stolen election. And follow up was? Nothing, obviously.

The fact is the Democrat House had more hearings in one week of impeachment hoax than the GOP Senate has in two months after the stolen election. Where there is a will there is a way.
