Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin are one thing. Arizona and Georgia never should have been as close as they were.

And for all the talk about Biden having no coattails, let’s keep in mind that the Senate races across the U.S. pretty much reflected the results of the presidential race in all cases except one. GOP Senate candidates generally lost in the states Trump lost, and won in the states he won. The lone exception was Susan Collins in Maine, who has been far from a conventional Republican in the Senate over the years.
