I'm starting to think when it really hits the fan, when real fighting starts happening, the police aren't going to be on our side folks. Maybe some of the FReepers who criticized the police in the past were right after all.
Remember when the Back the Blue rally in Denver was attacked and beaten by Antifa/BLM rioters, the cops stood by and did nothing. In Charlottesville, the cops stood by and did nothing as Antifa rioters who had no permit to be there attacked the anti-taking down statues demonstrators who had a permit to be there. My trust in cops has declined significantly over the last year.

Depends where you are. Urban cops definitely aren’t on our side. Rural sheriff deputies, small town cops, etc generally are.
There is less than zero possibility the police will be on our side if everything pops off. Any that are on our side will have to quit to stand with us.
It will be interesting to see how many will give up their jobs/pensions. I predict the number will be awfully small.
I’ve been saying for months now; if the cops are stupid enough to let Blantifa types throw bricks at them and strike them with sticks, clubs, and aluminum baseball bats when they have all kinds of ability to defend themselves; well, I can’t really sympathize with them. That’s just plain pathetic!
When the police started using attack helicopters and apcs.. they became military, violating posse commitatus. They are not for you.

I am 100% supportive of our military and our civilian law enforcement. However, I have stated this a number of times on FR, and it’s worth repeating often:
Civilian law enforcement personnel and military personnel are specifically trained to follow orders. That means they will DO whatever their superior officers tell them to do, and if that requires them to hurt you (or worse), that’s what they’re going to do. Take it to the bank!
For the most part they will do what they're told, even if it's unconstitutional.

Most police don’t care about anything beyond keeping their paychecks and pensions. When crunch time comes, they will obey the politicians.
Likewise, when their cities and states become bankrupt, and their paychecks and pensions vanish, then we should not care.
