NPR: Disinfecting Surfaces Might Not Be Worth It to Prevent Coronavirus
Breitbart ^ | January 2,2021 | Katherine Rodriguez

Scientists say that if a person infected with the coronavirus sneezes, talks loudly, or coughs, droplets containing particles of the virus are airborne and can land on surfaces.

microbiologist at Rutgers University, told NPR the risk of getting infected from touching a surface with the virus is low.

“In hospitals, surfaces have been tested near COVID-19 patients, and no infectious virus can be identified,” Goldman says.

Instead, what is left over is viral RNA,

Dr. Kevin Fennelly, a respiratory infection specialist with the National Institutes of Health (NIH), said there is no scientific data to back up the claims.

“When you see people doing spray disinfection of streets and sidewalks and walls and subways, I just don’t know of any data that supports the fact that we’re getting infected from viruses that are jumping up from the sidewalk,” he said.

Fennelly says that the virus is more likely to spread via airborne transmission in indoor public places, adding that ultraviolet germicidal irradiation, or using ultraviolet energy to kill viruses, is probably the best way to kill the virus being transmitted through the air.

Still, public health experts say that the best way to protect yourself against the coronavirus is to wash your hands with soap and water, avoid crowds, and wear a mask when leaving the house.

Health experts also recommend limiting the amount of time spent with people outside the household, and if that is not possible, to wear a mask in those instances.

....yet they’re still carrying on with the submission muzzle propaganda.

Makes sense though. All this ridiculous santitation OCD is not effective, it costs money, and most importantly, it’s not useful in conditioning and controlling us peasants, unlike the muzzles.

“...microbiologist at Rutgers University, told NPR the risk of getting infected from touching a surface with the virus is low....”

Doesn’t matter. NPR will still push the conclusion that they wish - accompanied by those inserted sound effects that “prove” to you that they are where they say they are.

We’ll have a very special place for NPR vermin following Revolution II.

I was at a market the other day in the produce section and some old bag screamed at me to put my mask on. The mask mandate is not followed closely up here and most people don’t care. I told her to put a bag over her head cause her ugly face offended me. She shut up quick.

But putting NPR in a vat of boiling water for an hour would help.

3% hydrogen peroxide and a plant mist sprayer. Easy peasy and it even gets rid of cooking and cat box odors

We must follow the science!

All the above undermines public confidence in universities and research itself, and rightly so, because it indicates today’s science is driven not by truth-seeking but by ideology. Further, it undermines public trust in the people who attempt to use this corrupted means to control our lives.

Science has been bastardized and taken out of its rightful place to run all sorts of scams on people. That’s because it has earned an authority from being trustworthy and replicable, for revealing useful truths about the world for centuries, contributing to the West’s many civilization triumphs.

Mass manipulators seize this earned authority as a tool for controlling people. Decent people follow right along for a time, unaware of how science has been hijacked, and that’s how the mass manipulators win for a time.

But the more they use this trick, the more they erode the authority science developed for itself through honesty and patience. Citizens are increasingly aware that what “the science says” is a lie, even if they aren’t always aware of exactly what’s causing this. Instead of taking these legitimate concerns seriously, elites sneer at Americans for being ignorant rubes and “science deniers.”

These elites shouldn’t be surprised that their lack of concern for scientific integrity undermines not only one reliable way for learning truth, but also the legitimacy of their governance based on lies.

Trust us! We are scientists!

So cute. But I have to admit, I did stock up on that crap at the very start (in Jan, last year). Never used it though, since it was quickly clear that aerosol transmission was the primary vector.

Glad to see the medical community is now catching on too!

As long as you put “might” in the headline, the whole article is in doubt and should be ignored.
A meteor might hit the Earth tomorrow. Doctors might finally figure out what to tell us about the virus. The Sun might be running out of fuel by March 14.
