New York’s slow-footed COVID-19 vaccine rollout has been a mismanaged mess, critics said Friday, with recent data showing that even Florida has doled out shots at a faster clip than the Empire State.
The harsh words come a day after The Post reported that New York State has injected less than a third of the vaccines it has - casting doubt on Mayor Bill de Blasio’s dream of jabbing a million city residents in January.
“It’s chaos out there. The state has no idea what it’s doing,” said Rensselaer County Executive Steve McLaughlin, particularly taking aim at the leadership of Gov. Andrew Cuomo.
“The Cuomo handling of the vaccine is blithering incompetence.”
McLaughlin said that county governments like his have been largely sidelined during the vaccine’s launch, with Cuomo and his team micromanaging the process from Albany, getting bogged down in details rather than putting the jabs into the arms of those who need them.
“This administration can’t administer the vaccines that are in its hands,” he said.

For a Little Hitler like Cuomo this is a feature not a bug. Slow-walk the vaccine to justify continued lockdowns as well as more bailout money from Big Brother in DC.
What’s happening here in Florida is the vaccines were given to hospitals first to vaccinate front line workers..
Now Walgreens is working with the State and is going from one assist care facility to another vaccinating the elderly, who are not leaving the facility to get the shot.
In one county near me it is chaos which is to be expected, the vaccine is getting rolled out to the public for people over 65, but you have a unlimited demand for the shot and a limited supply and we have people camping out overnight to get the shot.....
But the people who are the most vulnerable are getting the shots first...
As a “supplement” to distribution through bureaucratic state government paths, parallel distribution through the existing private enterprise pharmaceutical channels should be UNLEASHED. These non-governmental channels are hugely more vibrant and efficient than the governmental path. The government merely needs to set a moving eligibility criteria (e.g., age 70 and over to start with an age criteria that can rapidly be lowered).

The state needs to order more supplies. They probably should have started with an older age limit and then later ratchet it down as supply & demand allows.
But but but all the antivaxxers here tell us thst no one wants the injection. This is the devils work. It turns toj into GMO. I have a simple statement for all of them. It’s not GMO so GFY
In any event it is clear by this article that joe and Jane six pack the average American sees this as the end of the lock downs and the route back to normal.
Meanwhile, FL's governor has ignored the CDC's kill whitey guidelines, and prioritized 65 and over adults.
The other thing to take into account re the stats is that this isn’t the stock market, where all players are plugged into a real-time system, and the only things changing hands are digits located at a central database. I expect this isn’t true of health care provider data links to state-level databases, i.e. there’s a time lag between what’s done and what’s reported. Is it hours or days? That may vary between provider.
How can you order something that doesn’t exist....they did start with the older population, that to a large degree has already been completed.
Regardless of the procedure announced, those who are afraid out of their mind will not pay attention to details...
People are registering multiple times trying to get the vaccines....
It’s like the toilet paper issue, people freaked out and bought it all out....
All they have to do, like any good democrat, is put the blame on Trump and cuuuoomo will get a nobel peace prize.
cuomo will be grabbing vaccines from Upstate NY for NYC people, just like he did with the ventilators. Town Mayors had to agree to it on NYE.
