In a lengthy post on Facebook, Nebraska GOP senator Ben Sasse addresses the danger of Congress attempting to overturn the election on January 6:
The president and his allies are playing with fire. They have been asking – first the courts, then state legislatures, now the Congress – to overturn the results of a presidential election. They have unsuccessfully called on judges and are now calling on federal officeholders to invalidate millions and millions of votes. If you make big claims, you had better have the evidence. But the president doesn’t and neither do the institutional arsonist members of Congress who will object to the Electoral College vote.
Let’s be clear what is happening here: We have a bunch of ambitious politicians who think there’s a quick way to tap into the president’s populist base without doing any real, long-term damage. But they’re wrong – and this issue is bigger than anyone’s personal ambitions. Adults don’t point a loaded gun at the heart of legitimate self-government.

There’s more than enough evidence Sasse, you’re just too much of a feckless coward to see it.
Sasse needs to be honest and put a D next to his name.
Now, now, be nice. Don’t call him a dick.

Vote fraud in Texas and California may not have affected the outcome of the electoral votes in those 2 states but it does exist and was significant in number.
It is not legitimate or self governance when the elections are rigged.
Sasse is an ass.
Sasse is trying to steamroll Americans on behalf of the uniparty.
Anyone against Trump including fellow repubs are part of the corrupt establishment. Replace them all.
He just like to sound like he’s smart or something...like Beavis.
Rs control the house in this type of vote 27-23. 1 vote per state. Sasse will sing a different tune before the week is over and evidence is presented. Congress -- and some courts-- that finally hear testimony will be gobsmacked.
He knows, he’s on that side.
How do you “overturn” an election you obviously won?
Non-Legislative actors changed voting rules against State and Federal Constitutional requirements.
That’s enough.
Toss PA, WI, MI, AZ, Etc.

Bush League Republicans are only effective because they wear R jerseys as camouflage.
I am pretty sure Sasse knows a lot about illegitimate.
Sen Sasse needs to be taken in and shown the evidence one on one, and then asked if he is going to keep his oath.
