PDX has had riots and protests for years, this year just let the world know what happens on a daily basis.
Why declare a riot now? This has been going on for a year.
Soon they will have destroyed the shithole and settle down to repressive communism. Anyone with the means and common sense will have left by now. Pray for those trapped without the means to leave.
In Portland we have the flower power generation’s kids and
grand-kids coming of age.
For three generations now, there have been people who were
unbelievably challenged with regard to morality, and now
their children and grand-children are leading the way
there.
For decades now we have witnessed the moronic leadership at
high-schools dismissing the kids from graduation exercises
with the word, “You are the new leaders of the world.”
Too much brainless belief in that, as if they were in any
way prepared to lead, has had it’s toll on society.
Many of these kids out on the streets now, heard those very
words in their relatively recent past.
Can’t wait to see what their generation brings... /s
There is a theory out there that about ever third
generation the kids rebel, and go in a different direction
than their parents.
One can only hope...

My friend’s beautiful daughter and even more beautiful new grandchild live there. Daughter and her husband are vets with a lucrative veterinary clinic, and somehow money is more important to them their child’s wellbeing.
Calling all Social Workers: Grab your bouquets of flowers and head to Portland. Immediate job openings with benefits like prepaid funeral expenses.
