Not to make lite of this good man, but an aspirin a day keeps the doctor away, unless a person has coagulation difficulty. I've taken one a day for years and still kicking at 71. I also take a multi-vitamin/mineral complex, 4000IU of D3, Milk Thistle for my rum habit, and Saw Palmetto for the prostrate. Each year my blood workup comes back in normal range. I'm overdue, so let's see what this next one says. However, I do have to take blood pressure and thyroid meds.

Also on the treadmill at least twice a week for 20 minutes at 25 mph. Mostly eat chicken salad on Triscuits (fiber), but indulge with a nasty burger about once a week. Most times I have operational energy (as I call it) - then there are the after rum days when I feel like death warmed over. Where's my couch and blanky?

I think this guy had bad genes. I've seen photos of him and his family. I really feel for the wife and children. What a shame. Only the good die young.

If you can run 25 mph you are an Olympic caliber athlete, and if you can do it for 20 minutes at a time, you are beyond any human that ever lived. Im guilty and so are you about proof reading.. or youre full of it.. idk? Anywho covid is a killer of old, sick, the already compru6sed, and a rare few with a genetic defect.

Aspirin prevents COVID?

Do you mean 2.5 MPH??? I run 3-4 times a week at 5.7 mph for 45-50 minutes. I increase my speed every 4 minutes. I’m 53 years old, eat tons of salads with lean meat, cut back on carbs, and eat a lot of fruit. I’m in good shape for my age. I take an aspirin almost everyday. Keep up the great work.

:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

I’m a big label reader. Triscuits seem to be one of the healhiest snacks out there. And the new flavors taste great. High fiber, protein, and low in sugar, fat , and salt.

...but you might want to revisit the 25 mph for 20 min. unless your last name is Bolt or you are a Cheetah.

It is not easy to tell what goes wrong. I had an irregular heart beat so they suggested blood thinners and aspirin. Then I had a procedure (ablation) where a microwave probe is inserted in an artery and run up inside the heart. Because of the action of trying to fuse heart beat tissue, they add additional blood thinner, (In my case I was on heperin and plavix). Somehow my brain started leaking and developing pressure (subdural hematoma). This lasted for weeks without me understanding that something was wrong. (I was stronger on my left side, so walked in circles when trying to walk straight lines.) When they eventually discovered this I was so far gone that they had to open my skull and clean and drain. I am OK, but this actually happened a second time on a different set of blood thinners. Now I live blood thinner free and have a clamp on part of my heart where blood clots form (Lower Atrial Appendage). I have a permanent a-fib condition and lung problems because I also had blood clots that went into the lung.

The message is that modern medicine is not able to cope with everything, And yet we do the best we can.

I started two years ago taking 200 mg a day of Co Q10 and have experienced a significant drop in my blood pressure. Which was not terribly high to begin with, but enough that they wanted to put me on Lisinopril. Which I tried for two weeks and it just about ruined my life with the coughing all night and the episodes of lightheadedness. I’m a little too old to be taking falls.
