Why even announce it? Just put an obit in the paper with that info like everyone else and that’s that. Don’t talk about it to strangers. Just another narcissistic attention whore politician.
It is vey sad but it is also justice and you will see more of this in the days ahead.

I’m kinda pondering that ‘demolished without him’ part. Devastated I can see, but demolished?

Congressmen have substantial support in their districts. Obituaries are customary, and have been for about 1,000 years. They communicate the death to the community.
Would you not publish an obituary of your child?
Over a holiday? This was probably written by an intern. They use inappropriate words all the time.
I had a friend of my daughter visit over the weekend. They were using the word “existential.” I asked her what it meant. She couldn’t define it.
The use of language is becoming a lost art.
I think the Covid warning is pro forma. It looks like there’s a large extended family, but they shouldn’t need an official press release from the Congressman’s office to tell the aunts and cousins to not all come over at the same time.
Is this a clue about cause of death from his obituary? Covid-19? Or suicide as a result of lingering Covid-19? Suicide of a young, gay, man?

That I can agree with, I’ve buried 2 of my 4 sons, 1 died at 33 days of CYTOMAGALIC INCLUSION DISEASE, viral infection he was born with, 2nd was 16, brutally murdered. Ambushed and beat to death by a sociopath to get his jollies.
Good looking kid. One of life’s lucky winners... Dad with a great job, Amherst, Harvard Law. My bet is suicide/overdose. You never know what demons are inside a person.
