Texas Congressmen say they will oppose Electoral College votes of some states

Those who have said they will object include U.S. Reps. Lance Gooden, R-Terrell, Brian Babin, R-Woodville, Randy Weber, R-Pearland, and Louie Gohmert, R-Tyler. Gohmert recently sued Vice President Mike Pence in an effort to prevent some states' votes from being certified.

Gooden sent a letter to Texas U.S. Sens. John Cornyn and Ted Cruz, both Republicans, urging them to object to the certifications.

"In light of the numerous reports of fraud and lingering questions hovering over the validity of the election results across the country, I cannot in good conscience vote to certify these results," the letter states. "There must be a full audit of every ballot in states like Georgia, Arizona, Michigan, and Pennsylvania where there are widespread reports of fraud and data abnormalities. Until such time, I feel we would be doing a disservice to our nation to turn a blind eye and allow this to continue."

Gooden said he will formally object to the certification and ask the senators to "stand with me."

I don’t expect any help from Cornyn. I think Cruz is waiting to announce for maximum impact.

No downer, but unless we correct this issue now, voting is never going to happen without Dems winning.

The republican party will make sure of that, and still take your money and laugh at our stupidity.

Here is an idea, a new party. And take both house and Senate.

Is succeed by state an option... Seems the swamp thought if that, if a state does so it in effects looses right and control of its territories.

So that means DC takes that land etc as its own..... Who is going to go to war to take out the Red States.... Rationally and logistically, Washington DC cannot field an armed forces.

Is the Military going to be used to war against Red States...

No, they know that if the truth be told, they are not going to go gang busters on every red state.

So, what other options?

Cornyn and Cruz better remember that they can't stay in DC forever.
They have to eventually come back home and face their fellow Texans for their current action or inaction.

TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT but Pence’s refusal to sign onto Gohmert’s lawsuit makes sense in this respect———
<><> Pence already has plenary power,
<><> a court can’t give it to him.
<><> If he signed on to the Gohmert suit it would be declaring he doesn’t already have the power.
<><> The lawsuit could be viewed by Trump’s enemies as a trap to stop Pence.

h/t tiger claws

Pence can go either way Jan 6: (A) decide to heed any advice, or, (B) follow his conscience.........

All the final decisions - including control of the Sergeant at Arms for the Senate - are by majority rule.
<><> Republicans control the Senate and the Sergeant at Arms.
<><> Dems can be forced by the Sergeant at Arms to attend the presentation of the evidence of the fraud;
<><> Dems can be kept quiet during the said hearing by the Sergeant at Arms.

“Republicans control the Senate and the Sergeant at Arms.”

I suspect several Republican senators, such as Romney and others, will vote with the Democrats.

Cronyn is a lost cause but ring Senator Cruz’s phones off the wall. He is the only senator from Texas that supports the Citizens.

Just wrote Texas Sen.Ted Cruz, Sen.John Cornyn and Rep.Kevin Brady asking them to join other Texans in objecting to the slate of electors from swing states where fraud occurred.

I will write again and will be calling their offices on Jan. 6th to help put pressure on them to fight for our president.

I would encourage you all to do the same. Only takes a moment.
