Louisiana Rep.-elect Luke Letlow, who died while battling COVID-19, suffered a heart attack following a procedure, a hospital official said.
The 41-year-old was receiving treatment in the intensive care unit at Ochsner LSU Health in Shreveport when he died Tuesday, the Monroe News-Star reported.
LSU Health Shreveport Chancellor G.E. Ghali confirmed Letlow underwent an operation related to the virus and later went into cardiac arrest.

You’re probably going to be just fine. My 90+ mother just recovered from it. Scarier for us than for her. She had a few days of fever, a productive cough, some diarrhea, and UTI symptoms. Lasted about a week, took her two weeks more to get her strength back.
You need to stay hydrated. Take tylenol for fever. Vitamin D3, vitamin C, zinc, and quercetin may actually help you to fight it off.
Quercetin is a zinc ionophore that allows zinc to pass through the cell membrane. That will interfere with the virus. Quercetin is found in a lot of foods but you can also get supplements. Either way should work.
If you do have trouble breathing or other serious symptoms definitely seek medical help, you could be having clots.
Right. You don’t trust science. If I gave you the link to the studies you wouldn’t know enough to understand them.

The same profile as a member of my friend’s church here. He didn’t die, but he came as close as you can and still live. Now my friend has it. He got it from a family member on Christmas. He’s diabetic and way overweight, but so far it looks like he should survive. 100 degree temperature, a dry cough and some discomfort breathing.
BTW if you do have trouble breathing, you should sleep belly down. This somehow alleviates pressure. Nurses are telling covid patients to do this.

Coronavirus kills Chinese whistleblower ophthalmologist

Li Wenliang, MD, an ophthalmologist working in Wuhan where the coronavirus epidemic originated, has died.
Wuhan Central Hospital confirmed his death on February 7 after a series of conflicting reports about his condition.
The 33-year-old doctor was the first to raise the alarm about the coronavirus in late December. Using the Chinese social media platform Weibo, Li attempted to warn his colleagues about a cluster of SARS-like pneumonia cases. As his posts went viral, he realized that he “would probably be punished.” Within days, he was summoned by Chinese officials and forced to sign a letter accusing him of “making false comments” that had “severely disturbed the social order”. A copy of that letter was later posted on Weibo.
Following the incident, Dr. Li returned to work and, unfortunately, contracted the virus from an asymptomatic glaucoma patient in early January. In several interviews with Chinese media, he said that the patient eventually developed a fever and CT scans showed an unknown virus in her lung. Soon after, he started coughing, became febrile and was hospitalized. Tests confirmed he was infected with the coronavirus on Jan. 31.
In an interview with Pear Video, Dr. Li’s mother spoke of her grief. Her son had been stable for several weeks, she said, and his condition only deteriorated in the last 2 days. She and Li’s father both contracted the coronavirus, but recovered.
The news of his demise has sparked a public outpouring of anger and grief. Many have hailed him a martyr and a national hero for his attempts to warn the public. The Chinese Ophthalmological Society (COS) posted a public tribute to Dr. Li on Friday.
Dr. Li leaves behind a child and a wife, who is pregnant. According to the latest figures, the virus has infected more than 40,000 people and killed 910.

People with covid cannot die of anything else.
Well, actually, both my Dad and my brother (in his late 50's & quite active) nearly died of Flu induced pneumonia, and I was there to watch the worst of it with my Dad, and just after the worst of it with my brother (had to gather up my Mom and drive 1-1/2 days to go to my brother @ the hospital). So, I have quite a bit of respect for the Flu.
So, it is not "fear", IMO, but I do get a flu shot and make sure Mom gets hers, forgo direct care for Mom for a few days if my daughter brings home a "bug", etc.
The real difference with COVID-19 is how contagious it is. And how socialists are "using" it, Rahm Emmanuel style.
The fact that the family immediately asked for privacy makes me think a wrongful death lawsuit is being considered.
Also, the term heart attack implies vascular disease to me, which would clearly be a preexisting condition.
Cardiac arrest or ventricular fibrillation seems much more likely.
Things are less likely to be fine and there is as of yet no correlation with presenting symptoms. Organ damage doesn’t present symptoms all of the time.

Those stats make sense though: COVID-19 can attack any human cells which have ACE2 receptors, and if one goes and researches which tissues (and therefor organs) have lots of ACE2 receptors, it is a long list.
I read somewhere that COVID-19 and mitigation of it has already knocked 19 TRILLION dollars out of the US economy. (Not all of that "shows" yet.) Even if all mandates were lifted on Jan. 1, 2021, with no further increases in new daily infections (whatever the true number is), and everyone is vaccinated or otherwise immune), I estimate long term productivity losses and care costs of harmed-by-COVID disease persons will be, in the US, another 20 trillion $$ or so.
Some of them are. But no, I was talking about bars, prostitution-related businesses and the like.

What do make of these claims that the numbers of COVID-19 deaths are exaggerated, death certificates are on a large scale being filled out dishonestly, etc.?
It also REALLY bothers me that a large number of FReepers who I would normally assume to be strongly pro-life, not in favor of euthanasia of terminally ill persons, etc., seem to think that if Gramps died yesterday of COVID induced causes (including triggered co-morbidities) instead of a day or 3 or 6 months or 2 years from now (due to the co-morbidity less COVID), their deaths somehow should be counted the same either way. To me, “life days” matter unless one is brain dead, in agony, or beyond any hope. But, that is a slightly different topic.
