Missouri senator to contest Electoral College win for Biden
Associated Press ^ | December 30, 2020 | Mary Clare Jalonick

Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., says he will raise objections next week when the Congress meets to affirm President-elect Joe Biden’s victory in the election, forcing House and Senate votes that are likely to delay — but in no way alter — the final certification of Biden’s win.

President Donald Trump has, without evidence, claimed there was widespread fraud in the election. He has pushed Republican senators to pursue his unfounded charges even though the Electoral College this month cemented Biden’s 306-232 victory and multiple legal efforts to challenge the results have failed.

A group of Republicans in the Democratic-majority House have already said they will object on Trump’s behalf during the Jan. 6 count of electoral votes, and they had needed just a single senator to go along with them to force votes in both chambers.

Without giving specifics or evidence, Hawley said he would object because “some states, including notably Pennsylvania” did not follow their own election laws. Lawsuits challenging Biden’s victory in Pennsylvania have been unsuccessful. …

I like your editing. The AP is insufferable.

“without evidence”

Reports indicate the sun is hot, but there is no evidence anywhere.

Thanks for doing the work that any honest editor would have done!

This is great news. FINALLY we have a Senator on board. I’m not getting my hopes up, though.

God bless Hawley.
Now that he has stepped up.
Will be interesting to see if other
GOP Weak Kneed Senators do the same.
If Trump can’t overcome the massive fraud
and decides not to run again in 2024,
I’ll vote for Hawley if he runs.
If Trump runs, make Hawley his VP choice.
Screw Pence.

It would be nice to see Mary Clare Jalonick’s home address revealed. Same with all the other paid lying George Soros’ agents.

If Trump can’t overcome the massive fraud …
. . . then the country won’t either. Yes, it’s that critical.

It’s never been the bias, it’s the pretense to objectivity that I’ve always found galling. CNN was on at my sister’s when I was there on Christmas Eve. As best I can remember a recurring chiron: TRUMP PLAYS GOLF, SOWS CHAOS, WHILE PARDONING CRONIES

Exactly.

Don’t forget that both of those came out as cheap-labor-expressos during the previous decade.

Just for the shear delight in it, let’s all contact Ben Sasse’s and Pierre Delecto’s offices and demand they do the same.

I pray the GOP senators don’t all sit there like dummies. 100% of them should be on their feet objecting.

Having a left-wing bias means objectivity is impossible.

I do not see how it’s possible to have a so-called “right-wing bias” unless one has to be “biased” towards objective truth, which is oxymoronic.

“Biden’s win”

He’s nobody’s POTUS. There can be no gains that wouldn’t be ill-gotten and any celebration would be sad commentary at best.

Consider what percentage of them are RINOs. And RINOs do not give up being RINOs, although some get sick of the façade and switch to the Democratic Party.
