Oregon Public Broadcasting observed that flashpoint for contention was Portland’s Gun Violence Reduction Team (GVRT), which was disbanded in early July amid claims that it “disproportionately targeted people of color.”
Maybe because people of color disproportionately targeted other people of color in these shootings

Has to be all of those rural rednecks in their white pickup trucks cruising through Portland shooting unarmed and helpless social justice protestors. It just has to be. /s

Baltimore City has not had fewer than 300 homicides since the Freddy Gray incident in 2015. The police backed off. It’s a harbinger of things to come around the country.

Not just Portland:
NEW YORK CITY (WABC) — In the 11 months of 2020, shootings in New York City have surged to levels unseen in years,
CHICAGO: Homicides are up 52% in Chicago amid COVID-19, with majority involving people of color
LOS ANGELES: Murders in Los Angeles increased by 20% in 2020 ... July had the most murders in at least a decade with 40 reported homicides, a 48% increase
PHILADELPHIA: among top deadliest cities in U.S. this year: Experts also say protests against police are contributing to a sharp rise in violent crimes.
WASHINGTON DC: District records more homicides so far this year than in all of 2019
I thought all those social workers were supposed to put a stop to this. Whatever happened?
