This statute was passed in the District of Columbia. I’ll bet there aren’t a dozen people there who would oppose it, and no more than half a dozen who even know what the term “responsible parent” means.
If the DC government passed a mandatory sterilization law for all residents over the age of 12, you might find a lot of Freepers who support it.
