I’m not holding my breath either. The pressure being brought to bear to is massive. Just look at the headlines: Soldiers will lose their bonuses, Gold Star families and Army nurses will be left in the cold. There’s a reason they haven’t failed to pass an NDAA in almost 60 years. Even with the opposition of the leading ideologues of both parties—Cruz, Paul, Warren, and Sanders all voted no the first time—I don’t think there’s much chance the veto won’t be overridden.
Yeah- and we’ll find out tomorrow if Mitch is willing/able to put the BDAA at risk for Trump’s 230 and election commission desires.
