Los Angeles area hospitals are at a breaking point due to the coronavirus pandemic in Southern California, where the mounting death toll has overwhelmed intensive care units and led to contingency plans for possibly rationing care.
Though coronavirus hospitalizations are stabilizing in parts of California, patients are still overwhelming hospitals in a large swath of the state, leading California Gov. Gavin Newsom to warn that the state must brace for the effect of a “surge on top of a surge” from recent holiday travel.

Apparently even big biz considers S. CA to be LA. You're like a tourist who knows zip nothing. Fact is, it's all considered LA and always has been, whether you like it or not.

I have siblings, other relatives and friends who have never left SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA (all over southern California).
Face to face with them, to hear you tell them they live in or are part of L.A. they’d be rolling on the floor with laughter pointing at the dunce before them.

i remember that drive form san diego to LA, nothing until you hit orange county, loved it, now i will not drive on I5, I take the I15 its faster and you can drive 70
