Sorry – the future is not bright Mychal Massie's end-of-year column expresses 'grave concern' for the nation's future
wnd.com ^ | 12/28/2020 | Mychal Massie

Posted on 12/29/2020 7:00:13 AM PST by rktman

This will be my final syndicated column for the year 2020. My observation, based upon what has been this year, gives me grave concern for mankind as we approach the New Year.

As both a born-again Christian and an ordained minister, I see nothing that bodes well for the future, despite what people may desire to believe. My perspective is based upon the Word of God, specifically Psalms 33:12, which states, "Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord" (KJV).

America's God is no longer the Lord; America's god has descended to everything God Almighty condemns. Sexual sin on every quantifiable level is not only celebrated, but it is practiced openly without shame. Liars, thieves and the debauched are elevated to positions of admiration. They are heralded as models of citizenry. The so-called Christian church has been infested and infected with reprobates who practice the very behavior God abhors.

A nation whose governors boast that 100% of all baby-killing facilities are operating without interruption and where city governments vote unanimously to keep homosexual bathhouses open because they are deemed essential to the economy, and at the same time houses of worship are ordered closed, cannot be blessed by God.

A nation whose governors and mayors order the arrest of people for going to church, but keep liquor stores, cannabis stores and adult bookstores open cannot be blessed by God.

I don't believe Mr. Massie lightly makes such observations. And, despite these, where would one go? As dismal as thing appear, there is still no place I'd rather live. So, prayers up that buyDUNG is incorrect with his comment about a long dark winter ahead. Which it will be if they eventually prevail. And it probably won't just be the winter. Sad fact is that even if there weren't 8 million more votes for their ticket, the fact that 70 million + folks are accepting of their plans and ideas is chilling. And not in a leg tingle sort of way. Prayers up America.

The bright side of all this evil crap going on in our country is that it will make believers get closer to God and concentrate on what really matters. Our salvation and our duty to bring others to Christ. Cause our Government and it’s minions have sold out to Satan without a doubt.

Seems like he is using the present calamities to forward his point of view. Not that there is anything wrong with that; just my observation.

My father was an old time country doctor who delivered scores of babies. He frequently said that God will surely punish this nation for allowing abortion. He could not have imagined how abortion has become not only accepted but celebrated and even now allowed up to the time of birth. I believe Dad was right and this nation will feel God’s wrath in the coming years.

And once carmela D’ ho is in charge, it’ll become an arm of HHS with full tax payer funding.

And, despite these, where would one go?

This is not the right question. Secede from the USA and start a new republic with about 25 of the current red states. No need to to "go" anywhere.

“. . .there is still no place I’d rather live. . .”

Vanuatu.

First world standard of living.

Simultaneously administered by the French and English to about 1980, if the French improved a road or school or public utility, the English would respond in kind.

“Formerly the jointly administered Anglo-French condominium of the New Hebrides, Vanuatu achieved independence in 1980” https://www.britannica.com/place/Vanuatu.

Yes it is. Can’t open carry in town, but concealed carry is (with permit).
From history, history of protecting themselves because of isolation.

That is the worst of it and why they imposed it globally. No real alternatives.

I don’t believe that everyone is guilty of these transgressions and equally damned, but essentially Massie is telling us to “fasten your seatbelts, it’s going to be a bumpy ride”.

Seems like he is using the present calamities to forward his point of view.

He's talking about NOT JUST THE PRESENT CALAMITIES but the downward slide he (and I) have observed over many decades -- 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s, 10s -- which have destroyed the moral substrate of our society. This is not inconsequential. Self-government is not possible without a moral and religious people. And our Founders understood this.

Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.

John Adams

Things are inverted. Evil is called good, and good is called evil. Just look how Christians are characterized. Killing the innocent is profoundly wicked, but is celebrated as a fundamental "religious" doctrine of the left. Sexual deviancy is deeply disordered, yet is too is celebrated. And anyone embracing Godly sexual standards is hated. And violence is justified against those who hold these views which were mainstream in the 1950's.

There is no peaceful coexistence with the lawless. They must be held accountable or anarchy ensues.
