Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, a rising star in the Democratic Party who was recently considered for a position in President-elect Joe Biden's cabinet, is coming under fire for her administration's handling of a surge in violent crime in her city.

Saying she was 'open to suggestions' on stopping the crime wave, the mayor was on the defensive over the holiday weekend after three people were fatally shot in the city, bringing Atlanta's homicide count to its highest in more than two decades.

A 7-year-old girl who was shot in the head by a stray bullet after Christmas shopping with her family in Atlanta has died, marking another fatality in a city suffering from a spike in gun violence.

Get used to it, Keisha, it’s just starting. And it’s not really big yet.

Defund the police and replace them with community organizers. That should work just fine.

Maybe turn the police loose and let them do their jobs. Get rid of your stupid “rules of engagement” that so many democratic leaders think are a good idea. People will suddenly find out that they live longer when the bad guys are dealt with.

Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms (Dem.) said she was 'open to suggestions' on stopping the crime wave. As to its causes, she further opined that 'your guess is as good as mine.' When asked about concrete measures she would institute, she again consulted her Book of Clichés and replied, 'Look, it is what it is. There's nothing to see here! Go about your business! Disperse! This is the new normal. Live with it!'

Regards,

It's stunning that these black mayors can't get control of their crime waves. It was said way back that if blacks ran these communities all would be fixed.....and here we are in all major cities run by Demorat Blacks.....increase in deaths and criminal activity..

“I think that a very simplified message is ‘defund the police,’ but I think the overarching thing is that people want to see a reallocation of resources into community development and alternatives to just criminalizing behavior"
--- Keisha Lance Bottoms, June 2020

Words and actions have consequences. The people of Atlanta voted in this clueless "rising star", they reap what they sow.

Put a Republican man in charge as mayor and see what happens.

The Democrats cheered this insurrection and wanton crime.

What they have unleashed on America is pure evil.

So now they act surprised?

1. Have a gang unit on police force.
2. Start stop and frisk.
3 anytime you catch a gang member carrying a weapon in the slammer he goes..
4 I mean you put these punks out of business...

[Safe to say Atlanta has hit bottom...]

Not yet. The Democrats will apply the wrong solutions to the problems they created and supported. And not only will they not learn their lesson, they will never admit why things went so wrong.

This is just the beginning.

When people started to vote in people as mayors with 3x5 inch index card resumes....what exactly did they really expect to happen? Someone made the right speeches and hyped social agendas...so here we are...no real solutions or willingness to do anything to resolve problems.

I’ll go ahead and predict by 2025...Atlanta starts to see shifts of people heading out of the city...business operations relocating 50 to 100 miles beyond the city, and tourism cut by 50-percent. Same thing going on in Memphis.

UMMM, for one thing defunding the police doesn’t sound like a very good idea. Girlfriend, you need to step down and let the adults take care of things.
