Bill Gates-backed plan to dim the sun quietly moves forward

Bill Gates is now best known as a philanthropist, not the guy who started Microsoft or was the avatar for everyone's annoyance with Windows 95.

He's also known for wanting to save us from ourselves.

Now, apparently, he wants to save us from the sun.

However, while you may have been paying attention to his efforts on vaccination and lockdowns, you may not have noticed that one of Gates' most controversial causes just got a go-ahead: A project that would help block out the sun.

According to Reuters, a Harvard University project plans to test out a controversial theory that global warming can be stopped by spraying particles into the atmosphere that would reflect the sun's rays.

At first I thought this was about Gates and Dim Sum. I didn’t know he was into Chinese (food).

The fact that these balloons would cost next to nothing makes me think that a lot of climate commies would attack this theory no matter what, because they want to use warming as an excuse to remake the whole society and can’t have it solved by what costs pennies in comparison.

"Why are these idiots so successful???"

Some people become fabulously wealthy due to pursuing an idea with hard work, industriousness, determination, intelligence, and love of their fellow man. They become Republicans.

Others become fabulously wealthy due to nothing but pure luck. They become Democrats. Intelligence is not among their defining traits.

This is his attempt to eliminate a significant portion of the human population.

What if we get global cooling again, like we had in the ‘70s?

Seems to me that Teller wrote an OP a couple of decades ago noting that this could be done for much, much less than the costs proposed at the time for mitigation.

Here is a 2018 article from Nature saying:

“The process does not have to be wildly expensive; in a report last month, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change suggested that a fleet of high-flying aircraft could deposit enough sulfur to offset roughly 1.5 °C of warming for around $1 billion to $10 billion per year.”

The correct temperature, climate, and CO2 level for the planet are those which are the best for humanity, with a special extra preference for what is best for the USA. Arrogant? Who cares if it is. And I support doing whatever is necessary to attain the best outcomes for my country and my species.

are those which are the best for humanity,

The problem is NO ONE really has a clue as to what that is. The same clowns and imbeciles who think "lockdowns are best for humanity", "masks are best for humanity","eating margarine is best for humanity", now want to play GOD with the climate.

Here is a paper from 2010: https://www.pnas.org/content/107/38/16428

I’m thinking of something going back into the possibly early 1990s. Oppenheimer/Teller...one of the A-Bomb folks.

Oh yes we do know. Ice ages in which most of Europe and the US are under ice would be bad, for example, So also would periods of exreme heat and drought.

Here’s a reference to a Teller-Woods proposal, that I can’t seem to find the original article on:

Aren’t solar and wind energy supposed to be the answers to our green energy prayers?

Won’t blocking the sun hinder that plan?

Makes you wonder what “solution” to that the Gates Globalists are planning for us.

Whoa there. You’re fixin’ to be hit with a slew of naysayers who insist that there is no such thing as chemtrails.

Not me. I’ve watched one being done from start to finish.

Very very stupid. He needs to work on creating an operating system that is free from bugs, and updates that don’t break the updater/installer program before he tries to save the world.

Hell - just nuke the occasional volcano to increase ash in the skies...then we can get Idaho tater tots, pre-frozen, direct from the ground...
