Wood sounds increasingly unhinged - he and Powell have garnered a lot of media attention... and they've achieved absolutely nothing for Trump in the courts.I'm going to speculate that they both are leaders in their specialties of law, and they never expected the level of unlawful behavior by the courts at this level of adjudication.
They are used to defending prominent civil cases in the now-obvious second-class of citizenry. Never in their wildest imaginations would they have assumed that the customary practices that they are masters of would be totally and completely set aside at the Constitutional office-holder level of prosecution of law.
If they appear "unhinged," it is because everything they were taught to believe about law and order is being thrown back at them as not applying to the people involved in this case.
