The propposed recisions are a request to Congress to agree to them. If they vote him down or don’t vote at all, the money is released for obligation in 45 days. All the awful pork would then stand with so much money going to everything in the Democrat wish list and money going to countries which hate us.

So many compromising details affecting the Constitutional process of how this is supposed to work I’ve lost the ability to even sus it all the way back to what’s legit and what’s not anymore.

The Democrat controlled House will never go along with the recessions. Without the House, after 45 days, the money redlined must then be spent.
As for the $2000, the Democrats in Congress are thrilled and many Republicans, including members of the Freedom Caucus, are not.

FWIW, I just signed on and noticed that Free Republic no longer appears on my list of favorite sites, though I sign onto it every day, often multiple times. My service is provided by SPECTRUM.
The reason I wanted to sign on was to note for the benefit of the word police students at U Michigan that the name of the state is no doubt an Indian word as is the name of the state of Wisconsin, Illinois and many state parks and land sites throughout the midwest. It is possible Mark Meadows snowed him but I dont think that is all it is.
I dont know why he caved and didnt force them into action but doing it this way sets up what happens next.
When he exits the office he can use this as a sledge hammer when he tries to get them out of office in the next election
