Rage Against The Machine – It’s Simple Really, President Trump Asks Legislative Branch to Use COVID Relief to Help Americans No-One Else
The Conservative Treehouse ^ | Dec 27, 2020 | Sundance

Posted on 12/27/2020 11:06:21 AM PST by Texas Fossil

As noted yesterday, a simple COVID relief bill for American workers is really not a big problem… except it is… because the DC system is not structured around simply helping Americans first.  The legislative machinery is owned by K-Street and multinationals who pay for the outcomes they alone create.

A people’s president, Donald Trump, cuts through the chaff and countermeasures:

President Trump wants congress to re-write the $900 billion COVID bill to provide $2,000 per person instead of $600 per person. In essence Trump is asking for a stand alone COVID relief bill for $2k/person, then drop the $600/person payment out of the pork-laden COVID relief bill and start that economic relief bill over.

It's not really for Pakistan: it's for American NGOs that will administer the program, which are full of political allies, family members or former Congressional staffers who will benefit from "administering" these programs and who will, undoubtedly, arrange for this money to be kicked back to campaign donations or electoral support for Democrats or rich Republican donors.

For example, the NGOs administering this program will need lots of consultants for handling (paying off) Pakistani officials, setting up offices, etc. This will all be contracted out at enormous expense to former government officials, foreign officers, ex-military, etc.

Government funding of NGOs hides the parasites feeding off the system. Because they and not the government make the contracts, there's no transparency. In the end, only a fraction of the money is actually spent in Pakistan. Most of it is consumed here.

“That’s the way legislation works - you don’t knock my pet cause, I don’t know yours, and we both vote aye!”

And we the people get screwed. The level of corruption is mind numbing.

When the Chinese or the islamists finally take over it may be an improvement.

Just listening to the news on Canada’s CBC.

To hear them tell it, DJT is a real SOB for not giving people the money that CONGRESS already said they could have. From their telling, you came away with the impression - how can he be so mean??

He’s such a brute !

Trump is a smart businessman.

Congress is largely a collection of crooked snakes. If we followed their money trail, most of them would be in Prison.

Yes, I believe it is pretty accurate. There are some exceptions, I think the majority of them are guilty of serious crimes. And of breaking their oath to the Constitution.

It is said that the EU is the center of this. They they offered huge money to Presidents, Governors, Mayors and prominent politicians.

With strings attached.

Recap:Corporations (special interest group) write the legislation. Lobbyists take the law and go find politician(s) to support it. Politicians get support from their peers using tenure and status etc. Eventually, if things go according to norm, the legislation gets a vote.

Congress does not write laws or legislation, special interest groups do.

While all of this is happening the same outside groups who write the laws are providing money for the campaigns of the politicians they need to pass them.

The income of many long-term politicians on both Republican and Democrat sides of the aisle was completely disrupted by President Trump winning the election. That is one of the key reason why so many politicians retired immediately thereafter.
