If six Dems now recognized as winning House seats are not present on Jan. 3rd for whatever reason, but all Republicans are, a Republican could be elected Speaker. Possible reasons for that include, overturned elections, illness, arrest, travel restrictions, or civil unrest. Protests in DC on Jan. 3rd could effect something positive.
Why have another mushy RINO GOP Speaker of the House, when Pelosi being Pelosi ends up helping the GOP, even more?

I’m thinking the GOP strikes a deal with what remains of the Blue Dog caucus. Think Speaker Sanford Bishop and maybe a half dozen committee chairs.
