prefer the status quo to “the government getting involved” in the affairs of private businesses.....

Unless you own a bakery and don’t want to back a cake.

Govt didn’t keep their nose out of that !

It will be ironic to say the least if the Eastern Bloc ends up saving Western Civilization.

I applaud Poland's efforts but I suspect that Jack Dorsey (Twitter) and Mark Zuckerberg (Facebook) will simply ignore the law and disregard the fines they receive.

Seriously, what is the enforcement mechanism here?

I guess you think that the federal government should eliminate laws that prevent telephone carriers from terminating your phone call when you say something on a call that the carrier does not agree with?

In the past it would have taken an expensive army of paid spy's monitoring calls to make that happen. Today with with AI voice recognition and AI sentiment analysis they could and would do it in real-time with software if they could get away with it.

I think you miss read my sentiment

They allow censorship because they say

“Govt shouldn’t get involved in private business “

But they had no problem closing down a bakery

Cause the private owner wouldn’t bake a queer cake.

My apologies for misreading your sentiment.

Large corporations will always abuse the rights of Americans if there are no laws prohibiting them from doing so.

Agreed.....and there will be no laws

as long as the big guys keep “donating”

If the small business guy could make handouts in same

He’d get protection too........

That square has changed a lot since I was first there in 1991. It was cold and gray with foul air (brown heating coal) and very limited dining options back then. No kebab! Student food and stuffy state run restaurants only. Most Poles spoke no English at that time. Or maybe the girls just didn’t like me. Ha ha.

I got one of the last tourist visas to Poland. While I was there they dropped that requirement for American tourists.

Nothing like a good old “Bar Mleczny”, I went to one in Warsaw a few years ago, and I mean it was the real deal, it was on the Praga side, and it was like stepping into a time warp.

But Warsaw has changed so much, I think it’s quickly becoming one of the best cities in Europe to visit.

Happy to hear this about my paternal ancestral homeland. Now go after the Catholic Church for covering up decades of pederasty and abuse rather than covering for them.
