i dont really understand the politics of the inner workings of SCOTUS
its not like there are coveted committee positions to be given out.
Roberts gets to decide who writes the opinion if he is in the majority
but I dont know what other power plays there are to be had to pressure someone.
maybe they horse trade behind the scenes for votes if they are on the fence
