Any one with a functioning brain stem could see this was NOT a war crime and should NEVER have gone to trial.

Maybe so. I really have a hard time generating any sympathy for these military contractors operating in a war zone like this, though. They willingly go into a situation where the U.S. government uses them specifically to ensure they can operate outside military oversight AND legal protection.
