I would die before I would attend Biden’s inauguration.

"Every President can benefit from advice."

Not if it's not asked for.

I think this article is misleading, as Freeper conservative98 points out.

Gingrich did not say "Trump should probably attend Biden's inauguration."

This is the context in the interview:

HEWLITT: “Should President Trump attend the inauguration of President-elect Biden?”

GINGRICH: “Probably. I think that we’ve only had a couple of presidents in history who didn’t. John Quincy Adams didn’t. And the Republicans in 1868 didn’t. But other than those two, it’s a routine. If he does not go, I think he has to explain why. And I’ve written a piece on why I will not give up, in which I’m pretty aggressive about this in general. Not so much the election, but the whole process of where the country is right now, which I think is extraordinarily dangerous. So I think Trump’s got to decide, you know, what best communicates his message. I think his instinct is not to go because he’s convinced the election was stolen."

Perhaps I am splitting hairs, but this sounds a bit different to me. I know many might say "words have meaning" but this seemed like the back and forth in an interview.

Trump has no reason to attend the inauguration of a man who cheated to displace him in the White House. The podium will be filled with people who have nothing but contempt for Trump, including the Chief Justice who will swear Biden in. There’s no need to pretend - these people are the enemy. There’s no reason for Trump to be there.

I’m not a sucker and President Trump should be one either. If the casino steals your hand you don’t tip the dealer.

He should not go, but hire someone to wear a Russian hat and hand gold envelopes to certain attendees.

Must be some other Newt.

Not if it's not asked for.

No President has all the answers. Washington didn't. Jefferson didn't. President Trump doesn't

Newt is a mess of a man.

The only way Trump should attend is if he’s got a truckload of handcuffs to drag all the scum out of there with.

Yes, by all means, lets play by Marcus of Queensberry rules. /s

I honestly think it’s time to forget about trappings of decency
and let the Left know it’s all out war from here on out.

We’ve watched them defile our government

We’ve watched them defile our schools

We’ve watched them defile our media

We’ve watched them defile our elections

We’ve watched them defile our children

We’ve watched them defile our culture

I’m thinking there isn’t much left for them to defile,
and now they’re going to want to go over other lines that
will qualify as ‘crimes against humanity’.

So no, I think it’s time we do away with the trappings of
cooperation, and start playing the same game they’ve been
playing, or at least devise a plan to do it by Constitutional
means. If we can’t, well, we didn’t ask for this.

Newt can fill in. He loves these type of events. I’d pass if I were Trump.

“[S]hould President Trump attend the inauguration of President-elect Biden?” Hewitt asked Gingrich.

“Probably,” Gingrich replied

These same people to whom you say we must show civility used anarchists and racists to kill, maim, burn, steal and inflict so much terror, the politicians and judges refuse to do their jobs right.

Unnamed legislator: ‘I would do what is right but Antifa would come to my door so I can’t.’

Chief Justice Roberts: ‘It could cause riots.”

Because we all know that people who support Antifa and BLM are so civil.
