Trump is getting angry with Mike Pence for not joining in his attempts to overturn the election, report says

President Donald Trump is furious at Vice President Mike Pence and other top White House officials who are not joining his futile attempts to overturn the 2020 election, Axios reported Tuesday, citing multiple top officials.

The outlet said the president was "turning bitterly on virtually every person around him" who he believes is not supporting him.

Trump thinks that those who are not fighting in his corner are, in Axios' words, "weak, stupid or disloyal" and "beneath contempt."

Trump has complained about Pence and recently brought up an ad by the Lincoln Project, an anti-Trump Republican super PAC, that said the vice president was "backing away" from him, Axios reported.

The outlet said Trump was also unhappy with Mark Meadows, his chief of staff; Pat Cipollone, the White House counsel; Secretary of State Mike Pompeo; and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.

Top White House aides have for weeks been trying to distance themselves from Trump and his fruitless election lawsuits, according to multiple reports.

Axios reported that Trump had been asking his advisors if they could order state legislatures to rescind their electoral votes - and that when he is told no, he gets angry again.

Before the Electoral College met on December 14, Trump had considered asking Republican lawmakers in battleground states to refuse to ratify their results and to replace electors with loyalists who would switch their votes from President-elect Joe Biden to Trump. It was a last-ditch plot that was improbable.

But now that the Electoral College has confirmed Biden as the president-elect, Trump is turning to his congressional allies to help overturn the result on January 6, when both chambers will meet to certify the vote count.

Yes, “overturn” is not a good word to use. It’s so much in the air now that President Trump slipped and used it in a Tweet.

You don’t want Pence to start fighting the fraud?

Why should any GOP Senator step up and challenge electoral votes if Pence - the VP who is victim of the coup - won’t even speak out against the vote rigging and won’t put pressure on the governors and legislatures to decertify?

Business Insider wouldn’t have been able to write this article if Pence had been fighting the vote fraud publicly and loudly.

“Patrick Byrne isn’t anonymous. And he was at the meeting.”
_________________

Thx! You are correct about Byrne; however, he’s made some very fantastic claims in the past; going back to his claim of being an FBI asset in the alleged “Hillary setup.” Whether he was at the WH for some “high-level strategy session” or just there for the Christmas festivities; who knows???

I honestly don’t know what to make of Byrne or what “game” he may be playing. I do know that he’s a self-described Libertarian and did not vote for Trump; which makes me a bit skeptical of him. At any rate; I had read that he was the source of the story about the “WH meeting” and had somehow forgotten that point. So, that was your main point and I stand corrected.

As to the rest of your comments, I pretty much concur; although I would amplify them in that I would NOT like to see either Jared or Ivanka further involved in MAGA politics. They’ve pulled Trump in the wrong direction more often than they’ve helped him IMHO.

Trump’s main weakness is listening to the wrong people at times; sometimes by choice; and, sometimes, due to a dearth of alternative reliable advisors.

“ Leftist PROPAGANDA.”

Correction: A leftist outlet that noticed Pence has not been fighting the fraud - he’s nowhere to be seen at any of the hearings or on Bannon or calling on the GOAp governors to decertify. So Business Insudercdecided to take advantage of Pence being AWOL to write a story claiming that Trump is angry that Pence is AWOL

Even if they had no real source telling them that Trumps angry over Pence’s lack of public support, they figured they could get away with writing the article because the premise is believable. After all, why wouldn’t Trump be angry that his VP is missing in action while a coup is happening in plain sight? If I were Trump I’d be royally angry. Heck, I’m not trump and I’m still PO’d with what looks like the equivalent of Pence’s desertion.

You have a point. Maybe Pence has to seem like he’s above it all. He’ll be presiding when the electoral votes are counted.

Oh, yeah. It’s all a conspiracy: everything! All of the conservative politicians are secretly plotting against you. Reminds me of propaganda from the old Soviet Union. The Democrats want that Senate majority really bad. Let’s see if too many voters are really too stupid to bother informing or even enlisting for.

Do you get the idea that if liberal sources were to float a report that Trump is demanding extraterrestrials help him stay in office, the MSM would eagerly report it as true?

Unless that’s part of the plan, to make him appear unbiased.

LOL! Who in this entire country would consider Pence to be unbiased? And why should they care if he is or if he isn't?

MSM is doing everything possible to demoralize and to denigrate Trump and Trump supporters. They will take every opportunity to portray Trump and team as grasping at straws, at being in disarray.

We can speculate, but we just don’t know and can’t know right now what is really going on behind the scenes.
