My first thought is that ... "Ok, freedom of association, if a business wants to limit their customers to only those who can present the documentation, than that's their business."

This lead to the realization, though, that government will force the businesses to require these things (just as they are doing now with mask-wearing).

My next thought is that .. "We can fix this by voting", but then I realize that we no longer have a legit electoral system in this country.

Which leads me to a final conclusion that this can only be fixed through other, less pleasant means.

We're really being pushed into a corner.

PCR tests are specifically designed to error on the side of a positive result. The reason should be self evident. But I’ll explain it for the scientifically challenged. A false positive is from a epidemiological stand point a minor inconvenience to an individual and when dealing with a pandemic the individual doesn’t matter the population at large does. A false negative is a potential catastrophe so by design the tests are specifically designed to error on the false positive side. Quarantining one person for ten days or denying them access to a concert or restaurant is insignificant. Allowing a positive person who is marked as negative to spread a pathogen around the population is a major problem. So its self evident why the tests have a higher false positive ratio than false negative it’s 100% baked into the process and for valid scientific reasons.

I can go to the hospital get tested and contract the virus on the trip home.

I get the negative results of the test in 3 days.

So, for I assume two weeks or more I am out and about spreading virus everywhere I go until I have to be tested again.
