Ha Ha. And as a bonus, you get to participate in a longitudinal study of long-term side effects whether you want to or not.

I had the flu about five months ago. The major difference was my lungs were clear and I could breathe.

It’s better than participating in the funeral of my 95 year old father in law knowing I brought the disease to him.

It is really stupid to take an experimental vaccine, before they put it through animal testing.

The vaccine has been through animal and 3 phases of human testing.

These are short term effects.
This is a new type of vaccine that induces the body to display a COVID protein that the body reacts to.

Who knows how many people will have a long term reaction, aka an autoimmune reaction? Haven’t seen any info on that or how they created this new vaccine so quickly.
Has it been studied? No.
Who is liable if you have a reaction? Probably you, if you volunteered and signed a release.

Pretty much average for any type of vaccination.

Both the Pfizer and moderna vaccines have been through all 3 phases of human testing required to get FDA approval

Wasn’t that human testing only two months?

Human testing yes, but they bypassed all the animal testing to get them out as fast as possible.

the usual testing
PRECLINICAL TESTING: Scientists test a new vaccine on cells and then give it to animals such as mice or monkeys to see if it produces an immune response.

PHASE 1 SAFETY TRIALS: Scientists give the vaccine to a small number of people to test safety and dosage, as well as to confirm that it stimulates the immune system.

PHASE 2 EXPANDED TRIALS: Scientists give the vaccine to hundreds of people split into groups, such as children and the elderly, to see if the vaccine acts differently in them. These trials further test the vaccine’s safety.

PHASE 3 EFFICACY TRIALS: Scientists give the vaccine to thousands of people and wait to see how many become infected, compared with volunteers who received a placebo. These trials can determine if the vaccine protects against the coronavirus, measuring what’s known as the efficacy rate. Phase 3 trials are also large enough to reveal evidence of relatively rare side effects.

as far as I can tell pfizer has been in stage 3 since sometime between may and July

“About 1.5%. Dunno whether that is good or bad.”

Not sure. A certain percentage will have adverse reactions to vaccines. Of course a certain percentage will have ICU level adverse reactions to getting covid-19.

I don’t get flu shots but have had pneumonia shots where you get sore arm and feel bad for a day or so. If that’s what they are talking about here I would probably risk getting a covid-19 shot since at my age I want to avoid getting covid-19.

One should consult with their doctor on things like this as it depends on one’s age, weight and medical situation.

There is no free ride. No one gets out of here alive.

Thank you for that post.

Still, the time lapse is only a matter of months, where standard protocol is years. Therefore, no one can possibly know at this point what the long term consequences might be, correct?

Also, I understand the virus has never actually been isolated, a necessary step to develop a vaccine. In other words, Kochs Postulate has never been satisfied.

But maybe it doesn’t make a difference since they are fooling with a person’s RNA and not actually injecting a weakened virus so the host can produce antibodies.

Do I have all this right?

the virus has absolutely been isolated. We have electron micrographs of ot and the gene sequencing

Could there be long term consequences we don’t know. I suppose but not likely most of not all vaccine side effects are short term. At this point we can’t wait years to get the vaccine in circulation. Life is risk and benefits and everyone has to figure that equation for themself

I’m one of the volunteers in the moderna trial, got my shots end of July and end of August. Went back end of September to give blood samples and go back to give more in February. Time will tell

My first dose of shingrix gave me a sore arm for a couple of days. My second dose put me down for a day plus the sore arm.
