As of Dec. 18, 3,150 people reported what the agency terms “Health Impact Events” after getting vaccinated.
The definition of the term is: “unable to perform normal daily activities, unable to work, required care from doctor or health care professional.”
The people reporting the negative effects reported them through V-safe, a smartphone application. The tool uses text messages and web surveys to provide personalized health check-ins and allows users to quickly tell the CDC if they are experiencing side effects.
The CDC and Pfizer, which produces the vaccine with BioNTech, didn’t respond to request for comments.

“The CDC said that 272,001 doses of the vaccine were administered as of Dec. 19.”
YMMV. I had a reaction to the 2nd part of the new pneumonia vaccine. Red blotch and knot at injection site and felt bad for 3 days.
“Thousands” are negatively affected because their body is reacting to the vaccine.
Thanks to the US Army, my body was “negatively affected” pretty much every year after getting my mandated flu shot.
About 1.5%. Dunno whether that is good or bad.
This story is making the rounds pretty fast.
1. 300+ million Americans NOT infected or deaceased yet.
2. Death rate worldwide, despite ‘who’ and u.n., remains at 100% Nobody can escape that. Yet.
3150 of 272,000
1.16 percent.
I got two friends who got the Pfizer vaccine yesterday, a fire chief and a nurse.
They’re both still alive today, which is good.
The nurse and I just walked 2.5 miles outside.
other than a mildly sore arm I have had no effect nor has anyone ive talked to
And that third arm I’m growing will be useful....
Moderna fewer side effects:

Is an irresistible urge to vote for Democrats considered a “Health Impact Event?” /sarc
Had it 4 days ago. Me and no one I know have had a significant reaction. I’m at work today.
The reactions aren’t terrible, just annoying. I will still wait a bit before I get one of the vaccines.
Thanks from “too lazy to do the math” Dynachrome.
4 days here. One of my colleagues who previously had coVID and a relatively severe case had temperature, chills, and malaise for one day, then was over it. Only complication of which I am aware.
When reading the 1.15% of what constitutes a complication is something that prevents daily activity — this may include a sore arm, headache or 12 hours of malaise. Thus far the vaccine is in line with what is expected.
When you have a bad reaction and you require medical care/ hospitalization that guess who has to pay for that care?
I guess we are not done yet as a mutated form of the corona virus just showed up in the UK and the Netherlands, and it was not unexpected as viruses will mutate, and I would not be surprised if sooner or later it will show up here in the US as well. Will the vaccine just developed for the current strain of the corona virus also work for the mutated form? It will be interesting to see and revealing what reaction a person will have who just has been vaccinated for the current strain and encounters the mutated form, perhaps now or a year from now?
Reminds me of many drug commercials where the cure is far worse than the disease, “May cause anal bleeding, anal leakage, ...”
