you’re drawing a distinction without a difference...an ‘edict’ which is aggressively enforced by moral suasion (try going into a public place unmasked, and watch weasly employees and customers descend on you) is every bit as onerous as any duly legislated ‘law...’

Lately I have been wearing my mask on my chin when shopping. No one has said a word. In Walmart I even engaged with two workers while looking for something specific and neither said anything to me.
The sign says I must wear a mask to enter, it doesn’t say I have to keep it on to shop:)
