US health officials closely tracking possible side effects of the first authorized COVID-19 vaccine said on Saturday they have seen at least six cases of severe allergic reactions out of more than a quarter million shots given - prompting one Illinois hospital to pause vaccinations.
Medical experts said that a chemical called polyethylene glycol (PEG), a compound most commonly used in laxatives, 'could be the culprit' causing the reactions.
PEG is an ingredient in the Pfizer vaccine as well as the Moderna Inc vaccine authorized on Friday.

6 reactions out of 272,000 vaccinations is a statistical blip. Actually 5 reactive cases because 1 was known beforehand to have reactions to vaccinations.
Sucks to be the 5 but no one got seriously sick and all went home at the end of the day.
I’ve had an anaphylactic reaction. When your throat closes completely it’s terrifying and dangerous. You don’t forget that either

The number of reactions is within the number of reactions from the control group that was given a placebo instead of the vaccine.

I’m allergic to polyethylene glycol, so no vaccination for me. Really bad neurological and physical effects.
But when the Israeli scientists come up with one, THEN I’ll consider; God has blessed them to be the most technologically - advanced in medicine as well as a myriad of other areas. They fixed the continuous woes of the F-35 fighter jet’s hardware and software malfunctions, and gave that information to the U.S., after all. Now no flight problems or plane crashes.
If any were, it was pilot error, lack of adequate training.
There is a rumor that the fainting nurse is dead. I think it would be much more likely she was put in hospital to test for vasodepressor syncope or other issues.
Two of us here who have it spotted the issue right away.
Anyway...hope she is doing better.
You really dont want a nurse who has an untreated fainting condition..so she should be checked out for liability purposes

The hospital where fainting nurse works tweeted that she is fine and at home recovering and wishes for privacy..

Vaccinations have provided much benefit to us all. From the almost eradication of polio, to the treatment of measles, mumps and rubella. Wonderful technology.
The Covid-19 Vaccination is new technology in many ways. It has been fast-tracked without proper long-term studies to determine its safety.
To not want to take anew vaccination that has not been properly vetted is not “anti-vaxx”.

Exactly. I wont take any and FU to anyone here who think likewise. It’s my own decision. Tested 4 effing times, all negative and I dont even wear masks in public. Only when I enter stores because the last time a toy cop threw a hissy fit and I dont need that drama when Im just buying a 6-pack of beer. IN addition, I NEVER had a flu shot in my life and rarely get sick.
Yes the anti Vaxxers are a huge problem. I saw the press conference with the nurse. Clear as a bell she had a vagal reaction. That was not what an allergic reaction looks like. Additionally the other four reactions were extremely mild. And the Chicago hospital is starting again today.
But the anti science idiots will be in full glee. I think what they fail to understand is that Joe and Jill Six pack think they vaccination is the way to end the pandemic. So despite their vociferous but often incorrect and uneducated opinions they really are fighting for more control and lock down. No one is forcing them to get the vaccination so they should just STFU.

1. It has been properly vetted. Same clinical trials all meds and vaccines go through
