LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Loved ones of Los Angeles County crime victims are blasting new District Attorney George Gascon's move to lessen charges filed against those accused of violent crimes.
Immediately after taking office, Gascon issued a special directive that effectively ends cash bail, the death penalty and sentencing enhancements in L.A. County prosecutions. Critics say the directive is a blanket requirement that will release violent offenders back onto the street where they could reoffend.
"He's running a social experiment that is dangerous for all of us because his whole goal is to release all these criminals out there in the street, and somehow they're magically going to behave. And that simply isn't going to happen," said attorney Samuel Dordulian, who is representing several families of crime victims.

Another Soros DA, no doubt.
Where were all of these crime victim families when it came time to vote? Gascon won easily.
Not enough of them - yet.
I really don’t care anymore. Especially since it’s California and as an added bonus, it’s LA. The voters elect these vile and evil DAs and other politicians. Todays DAs are tomorrows state AGs, congressmen, etc. Let those voters live with the consequences of their love of democrats and their hatred of Republicans. Screw them. They get what they deserve. Please continue to post how miserable they are - it’s a morale boost for me.
BINGO!
Soros kicked in $2.25 million for Gascon’s campaign.

There never will be enough. They just leave instead. Much easier.

Remember when people like me warned you people in LA not to vote for this?
And you laughed and sneered and called us “racists” and voted for it anyway?
Good times. :)
These family and friends of criminal killers and rapists need to organize RECALL campaigns and launch “dereliction of duty” and “malfeasance of office” charges/law suits against Gascon and Garcetti.
While city officials usually have almost total immunity from civil law suits, those showing “knowingly negligent behavior” (i.e. they were warned about the potential releases pattern of violence) might be susceptible to them.
Recall petitions about “public threats” or “threats to the public welfare” might be a good way to stick a boot up the asses of Gascon and Garcetti even if it is not legal or doesn’t succeed.
This is where the families and friends of victims can be very useful and successful. They are beginning to hit local city/town councils and state legislatures politicians and getting rid of a few of them.
Just what a DA owned by the gangs would do.
Just like NYC’s “justice reform” bill.
A travesty that created injustice.
Presuming it wasn’t vote fraud that got him in.
Highly unlikely. It's just what city people do. Look at New York, Chicago, San Francisco, etc. They have a thing for electing the worst of the worst.
Cities do have a tendency to attract, or maybe produce, liberals.
It would be interesting to find out the relationship between liberal mentality and attraction to living in cities, IOW, which one causes which and why.
I hate cities. I appreciate the services that can be available, especially as far as medical options, but otherwise do not see the attraction.
OTOH, cities also have the tendency to either drive conservatives out or cause them to not go there in the first place, leaving even more power in the hands of the liberals. That's why I have a sympathy deficit for any problems they bring upon themselves.
Yes he is.
Me, too.
If they are going to vote their own destruction on themsleves, that’s their call.
No sympathy from me either.
Let them learn, if they can.
change lash out to drag out and now we have something here. They will not respond to verbage
