COLUMBIA, S.C. (WPDE) — A South Carolina representative wants all employees at the Office of the State Treasurer to answer the phone with the statement "Black Lives Matter."
Rep. Chris Hart, D-S.C., pre-filed the bill on Dec. 16.
"In the bill he wrote, "This joint resolution takes effect upon approval of the Governor and expires when the Treasurer acknowledges the inappropriateness of the comments he made on Facebook in June 2020 during the Black Lives Matter protest regarding being a second-class citizen."
ABC15 sister station WACH in Columbia, South Carolina reported in June that Treasurer Curtis Loftis posted comments on Facebook about the protests being held at the time.
Loftis wrote comments about the University of South Carolina in one post and in another that he was tired of the lockdowns, curfews, looters and weaponized pandemics, WACH reported. He went on to say he’s "tired of being a second class citizen to anyone screaming mindless chants."
The post has since been deleted from his page.
A spokesperson for Loftis said they do not have a comment on the proposed legislation.
Hart, when asked for further comment beyond the bill, told ABC15 "Res ipsa loquitur," which in Latin means "it speaks for itself."
insanity now commonplace.
This is beyond stupid,.

That would be a firm NO!
Hear that darlin’? That’s Latin. That mean our Mr. Hart is (acting like) an educated man.
Now I really hate him.
Insane in the membrane. Besides, I prefer to answer the phone with: “Kelly’s Pool Hall, 8 Ball speaking”. Never had a problem.
“Your inferiority complex is not my racism...”
So now SC supports thugs with a slogan. BLM is a money-making ripoff that only the misinformed can support.
I was in WalMart this week and a teen girl was wearing a mask with “BLM” printed in big bold letters.
Of course, my cheap/free paper mask had “HOAX” written in big bold letters and she definitely read it even with my mask was pulled down to my chin.
It’s quite discouraging to see an entire generation (or two) so indoctrinated with such false information.
So he's no longer tired of being a second-class citizen to anyone screaming mindless chants?
If I were one of the affected state workers, I would answer the phone by saying, "Black lives matter nor more and no less than any other race's lives matter," thus fulfilling the edict, but maintaining my integrity.
Regards,
All my employees have been ordered to answer callers thus:
“Yo, sup beyatch!”
“I prefer to answer the phone with: “Kelly’s Pool Hall, 8 Ball speaking”.”
I prefer Happy Harry’s cathouse, Tomcat speaking.
Wouldn’t it be more accurate to answer:
“Black Communist Headquarters”?
How about “Chris Hart is a racist idiot...how may I help you?”
“Yes, can you please put someone on the line who is not a racist? I don’t want to talk with a racist about my tax question.”
I would have less of a problem with BLM if they would make it OBLM and be honest about it.
If I called the SC Treasury Department and heard that, I’d say, Sorry, I must have called South Africa by mistake... Then I’d hang up...
Get a Mask that has WLM printed in it and let them guess what it means.
When they attack you, tell them your name is William.
They should answer it, “Black Lives Matter, thanks to white people fighting for their freedom from DNC slavery!”
