Bezos, the richest man in the world, benefitted from pandemic conditions

More than 4,000 warehouse workers at Amazon, the e-commerce giant founded by the world's richest man, depend on food stamps to make ends meet in nine states, according to new U.S. Government Accountability Office data this week.

The report said 70% of food stamp recipients who work at the United States' second-largest employer and other chain retailers like Walmart work full time.

Amazon -- whose workers are pictured smiling in ads to match the company's curved arrow logo -- markets its jobs to high school graduates, according to Bloomberg.

Maybe they should look for a better job. Just sayin’.

Or they could unionize.

And how many dependents do they have with no other source of income (spouse). their social situation is not amazons fault. No one forces the. to work there. Try a better education get a different job or get food stamps but none of that is amazon’s responsibility

I was a lowly state employee who made peanut money and eventually got into something better paying.

Its the French employment model. Hire twice as many employees as you need, split their shifts so no one gets 40 hours and let the government social services make up the difference.

We should end food stamps. Nothing in the US Constitution calls for taxing one set of people to give to another. That is taxation without representation!

So, is the author arguing for Amazon to hire a few more highly paid robot supervisors and a lot fewer human box stuffers?

Free taxpayer handouts for people with jobs. And there are a dozen free food handout grocery operations within ten miles too. Boxes of free food. Parking lot full of new cars not a junker or even a single old one in sight. Plus other places that cook and serve free restaurant meals for anyone walking in the door. Helping crippled folks or blind people I strongly support. But all this free free free for all is ridiculous! You could fill up a small moving van with free food just by driving a few miles and loading it all on your truck. There are millions of good Americans who have suffered their jobs being shut down by Democratic governors. Helping those of them that genuinely need it until their damned governors let them work again would be understandable, fine. I’m generous with people who need assistance through no fault of their own. Very generous even when it comes to taxpayer money! But millionaires — and there are MANY multi- millionaires around these areas - can all load up their lexuses and bmw’s with free food - no questions asked. This is insane

Is Amazon using Walmart's tried and true method of using part-time help, that we pay public benefits for? Taxpayers provide the Walmart 'benefits package.'

I've always referred to the "Amazon Smile" logo as "Bezos' P*nis."

My son drove truck for a fuel delivery company. When the owner’s son took over he fired him. My son went on to start his own fuel delivery company and now he’s quite wealthy. It took about five years. A gauge: His stimulus check from uncle Sam was over a quarter million dollars.

I for one, sympathize with the ‘little guy’ here. Amazon spends money to prevent unions and competition.

“Billionaire Bezos’ Amazon warehouse employees depend on food stamps in 9 states”

Is it me? Or did Fix News not mention the 9 states in the article?

Or maybe...the nine states are Democrat-run and, as usual, Fox is covering for the Left.
