Former NFL star Tim Tebow will headline the annual March for Life banquet that precedes the March for Life, where hundreds of thousands of pro-life Americans march to support the right to life of unborn children.
March for Life officials told LifeNews.com today that they were excited Tebow would head up the banquet — which will be virtual this year because of concerns with the coronavirus.
“We are thrilled to announce Tim Tebow as the keynote speaker for the 2021 Virtual Rose Dinner Gala,” March for Life said. “The annual Rose Dinner Gala is a pro-life event on the evening of the March for Life benefitting the March for Life Education and Defense Fund. This year, the Rose Dinner Gala is virtual! Join us online on Friday, January 29th at 7 p.m. for an intimate evening of inspiration filled with outstanding speakers and pro-life messages.”
“Tim Tebow is a devoted advocate for the most vulnerable and we are delighted he will address the Rose Dinner. He perfectly encapsulates the youth, energy, and enthusiasm of the pro-life movement, and his charitable work is an inspiration. We are honored to have him as this year’s keynote speaker,” said Jeanne Mancini, president of March for Life.
She said Tebow has long demonstrated his care for the vulnerable, utilizing his public voice to speak of his strong conviction regarding the value and dignity of every human life. He established The Tim Tebow Foundation in 2010 with the goal to bring Faith, Hope, and Love to those needing a brighter day in their darkest hour of need. The foundation fulfills this mission every day by making dreams come true for children with life-threatening illnesses, providing life-changing surgeries to children of the Philippines, and providing care for orphans in six countries and adoption aid grants for families who choose to adopt an international child with special needs – among other remarkable initiatives.
Tebow became a pro-life star when he shared how his mother Pam rejected abortion after doctors told her that killing her baby was the only way to save her life. At the time, Pam and her husband were on a mission trip in the Philippines when Pam suddenly became ill will dysentery. Tim says his mother’s doctors described him as a “fetal tumor” and “mass of cells” that had to be removed.
However, Tim’s mom courageously refused abortion and both Pam and Tim miraculously survived. In 2010, Tim and Pam partnered with Focus on the Family by sharing their story in a Superbowl commercial. The commercial was seen by millions of Americans and received high praise from pro-life groups.
Earlier this year, Tebow released a new video urging Christians to stand up for Biblical values in America.
Tebow urges Christians to keep their faith intact during these difficult times and to remember that many people mentioned in the Bible struggled, but persevered with God’s help.
“This could be your time. That breakthrough could be tomorrow, or it could be next year. But, you have the opportunity to turn however you’re being tested into a testimony. So many heroes were wounded deeply before they were used greatly!” he wrote in a message to go along with a video he posted.
In the video, Tebow continues the inspirational message: “Bible believers, when we look at the Bible, and we see a lot of the heroes, a lot of times they truly were wounded deeply before they were ever used greatly,” he said.
“So maybe you’re going through a time in your life where you feel like you’ve just been wounded greatly. It hasn’t been your year, hasn’t been your day — you just don’t feel like this is your time,” Tebow continued.
“But this could be your time for learning. This could be your time for growing. This could be your time for adapting. This could be the time that is a test for you, but tomorrow it gets to turn into a testimony,” he said.
“Because you never know what God is doing with your life. You never know what he is preparing you for. So many times in the Bible, when we look at the heroes, there were times in their life where if they stopped, if they quit, if they said, ‘No, God, I’ve had enough,’ then they would have missed out on the most impactful, most influential times of their life,” the former Denver Broncos quarterback said.
“Maybe that is the next step for you. Maybe that is tomorrow. Maybe that is next week, maybe that is next year,” he said. “But when we quit, we will never know what we missed out on. We will never know what’s in store for us.
“Because maybe that breakthrough is coming tomorrow. Maybe it’s next year. Maybe you have a little bit more time going through a hard time in your life. But I can tell you this: We get to trust an unknown future to a known God, because we know how much he loves us. We know what he did for us in sending his son. He gave his best for us.”
Tim Tebow is a two-time national champion, first-round NFL draft pick and Heisman Trophy winner. In addition, he serves as a college football analyst for ESPN. Prior to joining ESPN Tebow played three years in the NFL for the Denver Broncos and the New York Jets. Currently, Tebow is currently pursuing a career in professional baseball as a member of the New York Mets organization.

Is he still trying to play major league baseball? At 33, time is running out.
He was playing AA for a couple of years. Getting there is highly competitive, and getting to the big leagues is the hardest achievement for an American male to make. He was also a starting NFL QB for 13 games. How has your athletic career turned out?
He won’t be a hall of famer but, but he is inspiring.
He will not be in the NFL Hall of Fame..........but a Heisman Trophy and a National Championship ain’t too shabby.
Him playing Mets AA ain’t to shabby and in my opinion more impressive.
He is a great athlete and very inspiring. I wish J didn’t waste my youth as I did. All 3 of my kids are in Athletics. They may not get scholarships, but at least they are enjoying themselves
I didn’t mean to criticize because I do find Tebow inspiring. Just being realistic.
I remember many Freepers being assholes to him
Not everyone is Joe Montana. Not everyone is Christian McCaffrey.
But Tebow didn’t become the next great QB. He did make it to a AA Team. He even was paid nearly $1,000,000 a season to do so.
I think he did alright. I think he did it right. Maybe if he sold out a bit, they would have let him play QB more.
