It’s a cold virus. They mutate, which has why there has never been a cold (coronavirus) vaccine. No big deal.

I read somewhere that when organisms mutate, they get weaker. Don’t know if that is true.

Only 12-20% of colds are caused by one of the four viruses in the coronavirus family that cause colds. Rhinoviruses cause about 40% of colds. In all, there are over 200 different viruses that cause the symptoms we collectively refer to as the “common cold”.

And THAT is why there’s no cold vaccine: it’d have to work against over 200 different viruses all at once. And nobody’s going to pay $20,000 to avoid getting a cold. So nobody’s going to develop a cold vaccine.
