Am I missing something...is there another type of politician!!! Trump has praised Ted Cruz in the past.
Cruz has been a supporter of Trump across the board. I'm not saying he's a phony, I'm saying his visible support in this fight has been more about him wanting to get the MAGA base to forgive him. Honestly at this point after all the courts have wilfully refused to see the obvious evidence put in front of them Trump is down to needing to draw an inside royal straight flush to be the one sworn in on inauguration day. Cruz doesn't expect that to happen, or at least he'd be right to think it's a very, very tough scenario to achieve. So it's likely his visible support has as much to do with his own long term future prospects as they do with Trumps short term ones.
