Being a judge is a good job, pays well, lots of prestige, and while they are elected in Georgia, justices usually run unoposed. Would be a shame to make a controversial decision that results in organized opposition and loss of all that money, power, and prestige. Let someone else do it.

Saw a show on the old west where the statement was made “ It doesn’t matter how good a Marshall or Sherrif is, YOU ONLY HAVE AS MUCH JUSTICE AS YOU HAVE JUDGE!”
We are only a nation of laws if Justice is Blind and Judges are willing to uphold the law. We will know shortly if our courts have passed the point of no return.......
