The Rev. Al Sharpton could be spreading more than the gospel from his new $2 million digs at the luxury Bristol Plaza on the Upper East Side.
The 66-year-old activist and MSNBC host has been forgoing a mask in the building’s common areas including the elevators and gym, according to a resident.
The Bristol Plaza is home to many senior citizens and also offers temporary apartments for cancer patients and others getting treatment at nearby Memorial-Sloan Kettering and other hospitals, the resident said.
In fact, Sharpton has been posting maskless videos of his “morning thoughts” from the building’s gym to his Instagram account.
The condo building’s rules say “our residents are required to wear a mask or face covering whenever they leave their apartment, even if they do not go outside of the building.”
The apartment’s owner is investor Ofer Shabtai. He renovated it and offered it for rent for $14,000 a month, according to the real estate listing which describes it as a “spacious & sunsplashed corner 3 Bedrooms, 2.5 Baths tower home with, great East and South Exposures with city views.”
Building amenities include an indoor pool and a sun deck with lounge chairs.
While living high on the hog, Sharpton and his companies still have more than $3 million in open tax warrants, according to public records.
Three of his businesses owe $760,309 in state corporate taxes.
There are $2.4 million in open federal tax liens for Sharpton and one business, although the exact amount owed is unclear. Sharpton has said he is paying down the debt.

In October, Fredo Cuomo was warned several times by the superintendent of his apartment building, about not wearing a mask as required when entering and exiting the building, and on the elevator.
Sharpton is someone that should wear a mask at all times for the good of others.
Everytime I see him it reminds me of how much I enjoy watching the original Planet of the Apes series.
