I don’t venture into the “tough” part of my town, because I value my life. The same way, I wouldn’t go to a Trump rally in a place where I knew Antifa is going to show up and - unimpeded by policy - will try to do me harm.
There are plenty of communities with police that won’t put up with Antifa. Why go to a city that won’t protect you?

You can be a peaceful Trump supporter. But the left makes peaceful assembly a full-contact sport on the best of days. Be prepared for that.
• Use the buddy system.
• Carpool and leave one buddy to tend the vehicle for drop-off, security, and pick-up.
• Eat and use the bathroom before arrival. Hold out till you leave.
• Don’t make unnecessary side-trips.
• Assume the locals are hostile and anyone in a local uniform as nuetral at best.
• Don’t bring anyone under legal age. (The left is no respector of age or disability if they are not with them.)
• Check your six every few minutes—and your buddy’s, too!
• Count heads in your group before you leave and don’t split up.
• Make decisions as if your life may depend on it.

If I see anyone dressed in an antifa uniform, I assume they are hostile and will defend myself.

Looks like the DC Police and the FBI blew another Antifa attack. Thought they had all the bad guys under surveillance.
The Keystone Cops were more effective in fantasy than what DC/FBI now are, and I worked years ago with both regarding just this kind of situation.
