Supreme Court shoots down Texas lawsuit, but it isn’t over yet: Unless President Trump concedes, there are still plenty of options available.
NOQ Report ^ | 12/11/2020 | CQ Livingston

Posted on 12/11/2020 5:12:26 PM PST by SeekAndFind

The Supreme Court moved today to dismiss a case brought forth by the state of Texas to delay selection of electors in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Georgia. This is a blow to the Trump campaign’s hopes of correcting the election results that were fabricated by widespread voter fraud.

According to the Supreme Court, they denied the request over lack of standing. As The Right Scoop noted:

The Supreme Court has DENIED Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton’s lawsuit, which was signed onto by multiple states and supported by over 100 member of congress. There was a dissent from Alito and Thomas, but it seems to have been based on matters of jurisdiction and not the merits of the lawsuit.

Notably, the three justices appointed by Trump did NOT dissent from rejecting the case.

While this is a huge “downer” for many Trump supporters, the fight is far from over. As JD noted in the last episode of NOQ Report, the best scenario is that this case bought other lawsuits more time to get in front of the Supreme Court without having to worry about the December 14 deadline for selecting electors. Now, they have to rush, which they’ve been doing already, but that doesn’t mean the fat lady has sung.

The case before the Wisconsin Supreme Court tomorrow has real legs. Lin Wood has his case docketed. Sidney Powell and the Trump campaign all have cases working their way up the ladder. Until January 20th comes or President Trump concedes, the battle continues.

According to WND:

The order said Texas did not have legal standing to bring the claim.

"Texas has not demonstrated a judicially cognizable interest in the manner in which another state conducts its elections," the court said in the unsigned order.

The court did not provide a vote count, but CNN reported that there no dissents, including among the three justices nominated by President Trump: Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Barrett.

Two of the court's conservatives, Justice Samuel Alito and Justice Clarence Thomas, said they would have allowed Texas to sue but would not have blocked the four states from finalizing their election results.

This is all true. Texas did not demonstrate standing, particularly because their premise was based on how other states operated their elections. If they could have demonstrated direct voter fraud to change the results of the election itself, they have had a better chance. Thankfully, there are plenty of other lawsuits coming up that do demonstrate what is needed in order to correct the results of the election.

Time is the challenge. Can these other lawsuits get in front of the right people in time? We will see.

This is a blow to the confidence of many Trump supporters, but the fight is far from complete. There are still multiple angles and several weeks before January 20. Don't let naysayer convince you President Trump isn't going to win.

We The People are being manipulated .... by Trump! He has the ability to know who the 'someone' who ordered the stop counting to Milwaukee, Detroit, Pittsburg, Philadelphia, and Atlanta. That source is the proof of a cabal to commit sediton by stealing the election.

HE could release that information and thus include We The People in the resistance based on truth not emotional manipulation. We The People are being manipulated so the president's ego can have a grand victory, while leaving we the people to just worship his selfish ass.

Enough is enough. Trump's refusal to expose the truth in a way that includes we the people in the opposition to this sedition based on truth not emotions is glaring at us and we are refusing to see his egotistical manipulations for what they are.

I, for one, am through giving him the benefit of the doubt. I am convinced based on evidence or a circumstantial type that fraud on a massive scale was perpetrated on we the people. I am through allowing the selfish president to play me for a tag-a-long to await his egotistiaal triumph.

The People are being attacked, the nation is being divided by the lying scumedia as the president withholds the truth ONLY HE can access and make public. Enough is enough. Either include we the people in the FACTS only he can expose, or lose our support. Playing us for worshipful stooges is no longer an option. I no longer trust Donald Trump to protect and defend MY CONSTITUTION. He is exploiting US with his gamesmanship foolishness.

I just had a thought/question:

Wouldn’t Trump DONORS have legal standing within the States of PA, GA, MI, WI?

As in:

I, ________, am a legal resident of the State of ____, and on such-and-such date, I donated $____ in the expectation that the State of ______ was legally and Constitutionally bound to ensure a fair and transparent election process.

I, ______, have suffered tangible monetary damages in the amount of $________(amount of donation) as these funds were donated in good faith. Based on (insert the MANY examples of non-transparent practices), I assert I have been been defrauded.

Etc.

I am not an attorney. Wondering what any FReeper attorneys might think.

“LOL! Why would you think that these runoffs would be any more fair than the general election? Are you paying attention at all?”

Are you suggesting we don’t bother voting in the runoff which is less then a month away?

".... The reason he has avoided showing this evidence is that it would require declaring a national emergency...."

Trump signed EO #13848 on September 12, 2018 and declared a national emergency at the same time, which is still in effect today.

So the country was under a declared national emergency during the election.

It should be all he needs to invoke his EO (and some brass cajones, of course).

You didn’t answer the question. I will ask it again. Given the massive voter fraud in the general, that is apparently going to be allowed to stand, why do you think that your vote, for the republicans, in the runoff is going to matter?

My own personal situation is fine. I’m not concerned about anything that may come. I’ve been pretty well prepared for years now.

I won’t be voting in Georgia as I’m not a resident of the state. Just saying we don’t just lay down and give up. If you wish to just drop out of the political process, that’s your decision. You certainly aren’t fighting as you haven’t been in the news.

I’m glad to hear that. I pray your faith is with Jesus as well. Though it will surely get very unpopular to be a Christian.

Well I’m still hopeful because until there’s no other avenues to go in this process it simply isn’t decided yet.

Well it could be said the “Constitution” isn’t much being headed these days by anyone. Rather like Congress it’s lost it’s power to act.

Some of the comments on this thread are off the wall. Biden will be president. There will be no civil war. No states will form an independent country.

what should we Do?

how about use all this energy and work hard for true Republican candidates.

Looks like I needed to be more explicit about my “hope”. I didn’t think it was necessary but IF the two pukes make it to the White House, I DON’T WANT ANY of the president’s family or himself to be in DC that day. OK?

I would hope you don’t want them to be there either to be humiliated as the dems would certainly make sure they would be. It will be a disappointment for the dems if they aren’t anywhere near the city and I’m all for disappointing the dems.

Do YOU want to see the president and first lady welcome the fool and his wife to the WH or sit among the former presidents at the inaugural speech?

NOW - do you understand my HOPE?
