The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and Department of Defense announced on Friday that they will purchase 100 million additional doses of Moderna's coronavirus vaccine candidate.

An FDA advisory panel is scheduled to meet Dec. 17 to review the application.
By the end of 2020, it expects to have approximately 20 million vaccine doses available in the U.S...
“Securing another 100 million doses from Moderna by June 2021 further expands our supply of doses across the Operation Warp Speed portfolio of vaccines,” said HHS Secretary Alex Azar said in a statement Friday.
“This new federal purchase can give Americans even greater confidence we will have enough supply to vaccinate all Americans who want it by the second quarter of 2021.”
Of note: The government also has the option to acquire up to an additional 300 million doses of Moderna's vaccine.

Here comes the flood of vaccines!
An estimated 80 million doses (2 needed per person), available by the end of this month! (Phizer and Moderna combined).
That is enough to support a program of more than 2 million shots administered per day!
COVID is about to be crushed. 10 or 12 weeks, and the rest is mop up.

I will be taking the vaccine. And, out of compassion, I will continue to wear my n95 until everyone has a chance to get the vaccine. However, there is no way once the vaccine is readily available to everyone am I ever going to wear a mask again. You choose not to take the vaccine, that is your decision which I respect. It is your risk, and Fauci better not get on his podium to try to force us to wear a mask because there are still unvaccinated ( by choice) people out there.

They say you can still carry the virus if you are vaccinated, and you could even have some symptoms, even though you will not get deathly ill from it.
Why do we need 500,000,000 doses? There aren’t that many people here, even with illegals.
I think the vaccines require a small dose first, and then another dose a few weeks later??
We have about 330 million people in the US that need two doses each spaced out one month apart.
