Lake Tahoe is closing the slopes to keep tourists from spreading coronavirus.
The California side of the popular tourist destination will be closed for visitors for three weeks beginning Friday, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.
“Unfortunately, yet again, Tahoe is closed,” Chris Fiore, communications manager for the city of South Lake Tahoe, told the Chronicle.
Under the order, outdoor dining is shut down, retail stores are limited to 20% capacity and all nonessential travel is banned into and out of the region.

Funniest thing I saw was being way up in the mountains while riding dirt bikes. A SUV goes by with 3 twenty something guys to shuttle their mountain bikes, each wearing a mask.
Well it’s already more dangerous at night here in PA, so I assume cold, snow, and ski bunnies make it more dangerous there...
Yup. Last jam we had at the Red Dog in VC was veterans day. Saw the owners had gotten the bug and one of my pickin buddies and his wife too. So, maybe next week or the week after unless sissypants further restricts us, we may do it some more.

Inventory taxes are too high due to government actions not allowing the inventory to be sold as per the normal action of business. If we had been allow to operate, the inventory would have been sold thus reducing valuation and tax.
So “snowboarding” isn’t where they tie you to a Teeter Table and force slush down your nose and mouth? Whew...that’s one less thing to worry about.
