Senate Committee Plans First Federal Hearing on Election ‘Irregularities’
The Senate will hold a hearing next week on irregularities that took place during the 2020 presidential election.
“I am mindful that many of the issues that have been raised have been, and will continue to be, appropriately resolved in the courts. But the fact remains that a large percentage of the American public does not view the 2020 election result as legitimate because of apparent irregularities that have not been fully examined. That is not a sustainable state of affairs for our country,” Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), chairman of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, said in a statement.
“The only way to resolve suspicions is with full transparency and public awareness. That will be the goal of the hearing.”
The committee will hold the hearing on Dec. 16. Additional details, including witnesses, will be made available next week. The hearing is not yet listed on the committee’s calendar.

Dec. 16th? Something important happens on December 14th. Apparently, Senator Johnson is unaware of that.
Since when have hearings accomplished anything? Does anyone really expect anything to come out of this?
That’s OK, YouTube will keep their viewer from any such awareness.
If only Trey Gowdy were still there. Then we could be certain nothing would come of this.
At least in congress he was confident when he did nothing. On TV he's as timid as a church mouse.
Senate hearings? lol Pffft! Whatever.
That’s nice, but in my short time on earth, I have never heard of anything of consequence resulting from a senate, or house, hearing.
“The only way to resolve suspicions is with full transparency and public awareness.”
We’re pretty aware of what happened and “transparency” won’t do a damn thing to fix it. These do nothing Republicans do not need to be worrying about “resolving suspicions”, they need to be worrying about preventing a civil war.
They better do something about the fraud that will take place again in Georgia in January, or they will not be in charge of Senate Committees.
Sometimes dates become arbitrary.
The RINOs in congress think hearings are going to make us happy? Hearings? Yet more talk and no action.
That’s because they have no power beyond investigating matters and writing it up.
Just more useless political theater — paid for by the taxpayers.
Yet more talk and no action.

Hey, it keeps working for THEM. They do nothing but talk and we re-elect them cycle after cycle.
They keep winning, we keep losing.
I didn’t vote for any republican except Trump this time.
If they want my vote then they need to earn it.
If they want my vote then they need to earn it.
*************
That is precisely the point. No more rhetoric, promises or theater. Accomplishments and results are the only thing that matter. Produce or we vote you out of office.
Trump produces everyday for us and in so doing exposes the rest of the GOP phonies for what they are. That’s a big reason they don’t like him.
I know - hearings are pointless theatre
And even the conservative ones are all bark, no bite.
But I think these things are more important than they might seem.
Public perception is the key to everything - politicians and bureaucrats won’t act until the people demand it.
There is a ratchet effect as the public becomes aware of corruption.
It starts with the fake news hiding it - denying it.
Only “crazy right wing conspiracy theorists” are talking about it.
Then Lou Dobbs, Rush, etc.. but it is still dismissed.
At first, the whistleblowers are obscure people that can be dismissed.
Then a few important conservatives will give it a voice.
Some time goes by.
A few hearings but nothing happens.
Some compelling evidence leaks.
Then we hear there is an FBI investigation
Time goes by.
And on and on...
My point is that there is a ratchet effect - slowly the truth comes out - these hearings don’t accomplish enough - but they are not nothing. There are lots of people who are going to take it more seriously because of the hearings.
Once the hearings have been held - some politicians have to take into account how many of their constituents have watched the hearings - many get pissed of and call up their congressman or Senator - that makes a difference.
All I’m saying is hearings may not be much, but it’s better than nothing.
Completely agree...1000%.
Without public pressure, any hearings going on now...anywhere would not be happening. Few, if any, court cases would have been filled. Including, the TX suit. If there was zero public outrage, there would be nearly none of it.
Public pressure does work. At least, to get the ball rolling.
