That seems really odd. Why go after a very small city councilman? Did she groom him from that point and did her Chicom buddies get him elected to Congress, then get him on the House Intelligence Committee?
Do the Chinese women spies recruit heavily across the land at City Council levels in the hopes that one or a few of them make it to important committees in Congress?

This would explain why so many democrat idiots make it into Congress. Somebody should look into who AOC’s been banging.
I would venture to guess this all starts in the hallowed halls of academia. It doesn't take an elaborate intelligence apparatus as our schools are already saturated with foreign students and professors. They can identify those active in student governments, in pre-law programs, international studies, etc. They can ID high GPAs and those most likely to work their ways into positions of influence (or even encourage or assist as necessary).
I would think there are a good number who are completely compromised by time they finish a master's or law degree, and others who have been earmarked for additional attention and "assistance."
