YouTube said Wednesday it will start removing any content uploaded to its platform that contains allegations of widespread fraud or errors in the 2020 presidential election after Tuesday's so-called safe harbor deadline that essentially locked in President-elect Joe Biden’s victory.
The deadline marked the date by which all states are required to have resolved any election-related disputes. President Trump, however, has not conceded in the race, even as state officials have certified their election results showing Biden has the Electoral College votes to be the 46th president.
In a blog post, YouTube said content “that misleads people by alleging that widespread fraud or errors changed the outcome” of the presidential election will be removed. The update applies to content uploaded Wednesday or anytime after.
The move does not appear to involve the removal of any content fitting that description if it was uploaded before Wednesday, though YouTube said that Since September it has terminated more than 8,000 channels and “thousands of harmful and misleading election-related videos” for violating its existing policies.
YouTube said 77 percent of those removed videos were taken down before they had 100 views, meaning more than a quarter may have reached a wide audience before they were removed.
Democrats have increasingly criticized social media platforms over their handling of election misinformation.
The CEOs of Facebook and Twitter have frequently come under scrutiny from lawmakers this year, but YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki has not been summoned for Senate hearings like other social media executives. Google CEO Sundar Pichai has also appeared before a Senate panel, but he has largely not faced questions over YouTube, which is owned by Google.
Live by Social Media....
Die by Social Media.
If not by Section 230 then by customers voting with their feet. Or more precisely with their lack of clicks.
Rumble?
This action should trigger the immediate end of Section 230, BigTech’s immunity from the law.
For at least a couple of weeks YouTube has attached two messages to most political uploads...”AP has called the Presidential race for Joe Biden. See more on Google” and underneath: “Robust safeguards help ensure the integrity of elections and results. Learn more.”
Apparently there are some people who wrongheadedly seem to cling to the absurd notion that “President-Elect” Joe Biden didn’t really win. These subversive ideas must be crushed!
RSBN can be seen on their Facebook page......for now
I was wondering what had happened to YouTube carrying the Howie Carr show. It's no longer available. Anyone know if it's popped up elsewhere (other than the one hour on Newsmax).
I’ve never gone there before but will give that a try.
I’ve heard RSBN is being taken off YouTube

About 4 years back would have been the time to start to dismantle Sec 230.
Rumble - carries Steve Bannon and others.
Also Parler in lieu of scum Twitter.
What the Nazis did to the Jews, Democrats will do to us.
It will start with speech oppression and financial destruction - same as the Nazis.
I just signed up for Rumble. Not sure but looks like many of the youtubes are now there.
Sadly I don’t have FB nor do I intend to get it!!
Google needs to be burned to the ground, and all it’s enablers sent fleeing in terror.
See how tyranny works?
I, for one, think this is awesome.
YouTube has made the classic mistake of calling attention to something they want people to ignore.
Now, even MORE people will be watching it.
Can’t wait for YouTube to go the way of Drudge and Fox Snooze.
At the very least look up Dan Bongino on Rumble. First Class stuff there.
And George Orwell.
